I had just saved Evangeline from that bastard of an animal Lucas. He was going to forcefully mate with MY mate! I am going to rip his head off if I come across him again. How could the guy who was my childhood friend and a part of my pack try to pull that shit with me? I made my way back toward the pack house to talk with our Alpha, also known as my older brother. I marched right into his office never considering if he may be busy or not. My fists were clenched tightly "Danny, I want him taken care of!" I demand as my body shakes wanting so badly to shift and go after Lucas myself. Danny calmly got up from behind his large walnut colored desk. He walked towards me then placed his hands firmly on my shoulders to calm me down. I could see the worry in his green eyes "Calm down little brother. First, tell me what happened, and who do I need to take care of?" he questioned his voice full of concern. Usually, Danny's voice was one that managed to soothe the people in our pack, but not in my case at the moment.
I felt my jaw clench as a growl forced its way out of my chest "Lucas tried to force himself on my mate!" I yelled his name dripping with venom from my mouth. My fists clenched so tightly you could almost see the white of my bones. Danny frowned hearing me speak "I know there aren't many female wolves right now, but that is no excuse to try and take someone else's mate... I'll deal with Lucas urgently." he assured me. He then guided me out of the office as he demanded two fighters to go get Lucas for him. I still felt erratic I needed to calm myself before I lost control. I decided that perhaps visiting her may help me relax. Perhaps I may even talk to her this time around.
Once I had arrived at her home I could see through the window that she was sleeping. Her face seemed so peaceful and angelic now that she wasn't terrified. I know I shouldn't have but I decided to go in there through one of the unlocked windows upstairs. Looking around the room it seemed to belong to a younger kid most likely her little brother. I quietly made my way down the steps and into her living room. I gently lifted her off the couch. I smiled as she tucked her head into the crook of my shoulder. I made my way up the staircase. She seemed so delicate when she was asleep, nothing like how she was in front of other people. I was so proud to see this side of her like it was only meant for me. I put her down on her plush bed and tucked her in then kissed her on the cheek "Mine..." I whispered softly and protectively. My head snapped up as I heard a car pulling into the driveway, I quickly made my way out by using her window.
I made my way to the woods and stared at her house. I couldn't help but worry about her, she didn't seem to know what she was. She didn't act like a werewolf. It was almost as if her wolf side was hidden from her. I watched her window for a little while longer before heading back home. As I walked in through the door I could hear my brother's voice booming from his office as he yelled at Lucas, who in turn was whimpering like a scared pup. I can not understand how the sweet and innocent kid I grew up with could turn out this way.
I went up to my room and let myself plunge into my pillows and blanket. My eyes felt heavy and I was about to let myself drift off. Just as my mind was beginning to drift I sat up remembering I left my jacket with her. The jacket that had my family amulet inside it. Damn it Danny was gonna have my ass if I didn't manage to get it back before he noticed. Well shit...
