As we sat there eating out ice cream I couldn't help but study Drago. His blond locks had been released from their braids making his hair a mixture of wavy and straight, somehow he was pulling it off. He had soft stubble growing on his face. His jawline was less angular than Logan but he still looked very much attractive. He was tall and toned, Logan was well built but Drago seemed like he could give any bodybuilder a run for their money. His full lips were a soft pink. Wait why am I staring at his lips? I quickly looked down at my bowl. Drago chuckled at something but I couldn't be sure what. I had already finished my ice cream when he stood up.
I looked up wondering what he was doing and saw his hand outstretched waiting for me to grab on. I blushed and took his hand "Where are we going now?" I asked curiously. He just gave me a swoon-worthy smirk as he lead me down the street. I shook my head with a smile and followed him. I noticed that we had arrived near the beginning of a forest as well as there being a small group of teens and young adults standing there. There were probably about five people there. I saw two males and three females. They were all very fit which I guess is a normal thing for werewolves. I held on to Drago as we approached "Hey guys this is Eva. Eva these are my friends Finn, Beau, Piper, Talia, and Sienna." he said motioning to each of them. Both boys were tall but not as tall as Drago. Finn had shaggy brown hair with brown eyes and tan skin while Beau had very short almost buzz-cut hair he also had brown eyes and tan skin. Piper was shorter than me with auburn hair that stopped at her shoulders, freckles covered her face that brought out her blue eyes. Talia was tall with striking ebony skin, her hair was just as short as Beau's accentuating her elegant long neck. Then there was Sienna she had brightly colored hair that she had done up in a side braid. Her eyes were the color of liquid honey, the only thing that could pull your attention from them was her facial piercings. No matter what I had to admit that his friends were intriguing. I waved to them then looked up at Drago "So what are we doing?" I asked.
The entire group smirked at me Talia spoke first "We're going to play a game. Many young werewolves do this to help build a connection with their wolf." she explained. Beau jumped in "But we're going to make things a little more interesting. Since Eva and Finn can't shift yet there won't be any shifting for this game. You've played hide and seek before right Eva?" he asked me. I nodded my head confused. He then continued "Each girl will have to find one of us boys, last girl, without a boy has to..." he said thinking of a consequence. Sienna giggled "Do laundry for the pack house for a week." she suggested. I saw Talia and Piper shudder. Finn grinned from ear to ear deviously "Yes!" he exclaimed. Drago leaned down and I caught the scent of leather and burnt paper. I could almost feel my legs give out "You might want to get in touch with your wolf cause you do not want to deal with Finn's laundry." he teased before leaving to join the boys.
I watched as the girls began stretching and tilted my head confused. Piper giggled "Beau forgot to mention it's also like tag. Once you find one of them they'll book it and try to hide again." she explained to me. I suddenly understood. I could feel Cinder getting excited at the simulation of hunting. I stretched out my limbs then the boys made us turn our backs as they set a timer to go off. I could feel the tension building as the minute slowly passed and the timer rang. We bolted. Talia was ahead of everyone with her long athletic legs. I managed to keep pace with Sienna and poor Piper fell behind. Soon we had all split up. I stood in the woods looking around. All right Cinder I need you to help me out here [Smell, Listen.] she told me. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I caught a variety of smells like daisies, popcorn, fresh laundry, and then leather mixed with burnt paper. My ears caught the sound of steady breathing.
My eyes snapped open and I ran towards the scent. My adrenaline was pumping through my vines. I let out a howl as I was closing in. That's when our eyes locked, and I caught his sly smirk as he bolted from his hiding spot. My ears then caught the sound of feet behind us. I had to catch him fast and I saw my chance. Drago had tried to hide down by a small drop so letting my instinct take over I jumped off a little further ahead. I landed directly on top of Drago. He must have known what I was going to do because he turned around to catch me. I grinned as he was pinned under me "Gotcha." I teased. I suddenly became very aware of his hands on my hips and the fact that I was straddling him. I felt myself turning red. I quickly got off of him "Sorry got to into the game I guess." I giggled nervously. Why does he make me so nervous? I stood up and noticed it was getting dark. I frowned upset that I wouldn't get to see my dad today, but also upset that this day had to end. I helped Drago back up not that he needed my help "It's getting late. I should get back home I'm sure Logan misses me." I told him.
I could see the disappointment in his eyes even if he was smiling at me. He nodded "Come on I'll let Pops know you'll see him tomorrow." he assured as we began walking back to the house. Before getting on the bike he gave me his jacket "It can get a little chilly on the bike when it gets dark." he told me. I was thankful and put the jacket on before asking for his help with the helmet. I was almost sad on the ride back home. As we pulled in I seen Logan run over to us. He picked me up off the bike and spun me around holding me. I giggled at how silly he was being. He kissed me all over my face "Thank goddess you're home I missed you all day." he whimpered. He took off my helmet and the jacket then handed them back to Drago. He picked me up to bring me inside. I wanted to say goodbye but could only wave to him. Drago nodded and waved back.
