(Jared's POV)

Kitchen - end of Power of Three...

A family meal, Chinese with chopsticks.

"Dear me. I'd better get going. Things to do, worlds to save, swings to swing on. Look, I know, the three of you have lives here. Beautiful, messy lives. That is what makes you so fabulously human. You don't want to give them up. I understand." The Doctor said, looking between Amy, Rory, and I.

"Actually, it's you they can't give up, Doctor. And I don't think they should. Go with him. Go save every world you can find. And Jared, don't give up saving every world you can find. Don't give up helping your friends save Remnant. Who else has that chance? Life will still be here." Brian said, looking at Amy, Rory and I.

"Brian, come with us." I said, smiling. "There's a lot of room. I don't mind."

"Somebody's got to water the plants. Doctor, just bring them back safe." Brian said.

"Okay, this adventure was nice and laid back. I wasn't sure on what I wanted to do for a while. Now I know. I'm still needed as a hero of justice. I can't give up yet. Even knowing it's bad in Remnant and what might happen next with the Doctor." I said, smirking.

I looked over at the Doctor, Amy, and Rory, before the four of us entered the TARDIS.

The rest is words over a storyboard presentation, with plaintive music to tug at our heartstrings.

Brian is watering the plants. He stops and looks around. The emptiness of the house, the absence of Amy and Rory. The doorbell rings on Brian - strange...

He opens the door and finds me, Team Mikazuki Villa, and a man - Anthony, in his mid-sixties. Wearing an old-fashioned suit. A New York accent.

"Mr Brian Williams?" Anthony asked.

"Yes. How did you know I was here? Jared, did you tell him? This isn't my house." Brian said.

"I did." I said, letting out a lot of tears. "I'm sorry! I really am!"

"Jared, don't worry." Iroha said, walking up to me to comfort me. "We're here for you."

"Don't worry." Sana said, smiling.

"It'll be okay." Yachiyo said.

"Yep yep." Tsuruno said.

"Grr. Give him the letter already." Felicia said, angrily.

"Right. Thanks for reminding me, Felicia. This is for you." Anthony said, holding out an envelope with Dad written on it.

"I don't understand." Brian said. "Why is Jared guilty over something? Like he lost a friend."

"You should read it. I'll wait." Anthony said, looking at Brian.

"And we'll comfort Jared." Yachiyo said. "He'll be fine."

Anthony and Team Mikazuki Villa walk in with me, past a bemused Brian.

"There there..." Yachiyo said, as I'm crying into her chest.

Brian is on the sofa.

"You had to confront this eventually." Iroha said, as I'm letting out more tears.

Brian opens the letter.

"I kept this off for way too long..." I said, sadly.

"Dear Dad. This is the difficult bit. If I've got this right, you're reading this letter a week after we left in the Tardis. Er, the thing is, we're not coming back. We're alive and well, and stuck in New York, fifty years before I was born. We can't come home again. I won't ever see you again, and that breaks my heart. I'm so sorry, Dad. I thought about this for years, and I realised there was one thing I could do. I could write to you. Tell you everything about how we lived. How despite it all, we were happy. But before I do, I need you to know, you are the best dad any son could've had, and for all of the times I've drove you mad, and you drove me mad, all the times I snapped at you, I'm sorry. I miss everything about you. Especially our awkward hugs. I bought a trowel! We have a small yard. I garden." Rory said, his voice in my head.

Iroha walked up to Brian and gave him a Polaroid photo that was in her hand.

"Jared took this a bit after saving Manhattan. With the Avengers and Symphogear." Iroha said. "He went back to see Amy and Rory for a bit."

A photograph of Rory, Amy, and a baby sitting on a sofa.

"But one more important bit of business. The man who delivered the letter... Anthony. Be nice to him, because he's your grandson." Rory said, his voice in my head.

Brian walks out into the hall, slowly approaching Anthony, me, and Team Mikazuki Villa.

"We finally adopted in 1946. Anthony Brian Williams. He can tell you everything. He'll have the family albums. I assume Jared met up with him and came along with. That ally of justice of ours must have brought some friends to help comfort him for this. And I realise having a grandson who's older than you is so far beyond weird, but I'm sorry. I love you, Dad. I miss you." Rory said, his voice in my head.

Brian stands in front of Anthony, me, and Team Mikazuki Villa. Anthony holds out his hand.

"How d'you do, sir?" Anthony asked.

Brian, so affected, so stunned. He hugged me and Anthony.
