"Although I did not agree with my father's ways, I will not betray him. You Soul Reapers let him die that day when you were perfectly capable of helping him. Soul Society deserves to suffer for their actions all those years ago. Did they think committing genocide would leave no angry victims?"
"So, you say it has nothing to do with you, but are self-righteously preaching? I don't care to know the reason for the war a millennium ago, but the people I care about are in danger and that is all that matters. Your son and your wife, would they want you to look away when her murderer is about to start another killing spree?"
"I don't care what you say, but if you use my family to blackmail me, I will fight you to the death. As for my father's portal, you will never learn of its location. If you truly wish to protect the world, go to Warsaw. There is a hidden city in the forests far north of there that is in ruins."
Ishida took out another cigarette and walked away while lighting it. He turned the corner and disappeared from her sight. Orihime suddenly had the urge to take him down and strip him of his memories. However, she realized the dark thoughts surfacing and shook them off. She left to find a secluded place to create a portal across the earth.
By unlocking all of the Kido and more advanced knowledge concerning space and time, Orihime was able to accurately teleport herself to a location within the same plane without risk of tearing apart her body or appearing within a solid object or living creature. The idea of partially teleporting into someone's body is a bit difficult to swallow.
Although she didn't need a flamboyant ritual to teleport, Orihime has no practical experience using it. Therefore, she decided to use an isolated place to transfer away. She was also worried that if there were people nearby, they would get pulled into the spell. The theory was instantaneously creating a secondary dimension which existed in two points in space simultaneously. Then, she just needed to enter one side and exit the other.
Orihime mobilized half of the spiritual power in her body in creating this portal as it crackled and sparked. The friction of space grinding onto itself created a phenomenon similar to striking molten metal. Once the passage was opened wide enough for Orihime to step through without leaving behind body parts, she walked forward. The feeling was like standing up too quickly multiplied by a hundred.
As the portal closed behind her, she tried to move but instead her legs crossed and she fell over to the side. Orihime needed a few minutes before her body adjusted to changing her position in space instantly. Once she coordinated herself, she stood and brushed off the dirt. Orihime sensed a nearby town full of people so she proceeded that direction. She did not know how long it would take to gather information about the ruined city in the forests, so she hoped thing's wouldn't escalate too much on Ichigo's end.
…
"So, he's from overseas and needs a place to stay? What was your name again… Jack? Well, you seem trustworthy to me. However, you'll need to help with chores since dad is busy at the clinic this month."
"Chores? What the hell—"
"Don't worry Yuzu, I'll make sure he helps. Let me show him the guest room."
Ichigo brings Grimmjow away with an arm hold around his neck. He lets go when they get into the room and sighs heavily. They had fought for an hour only to discover two things. The limiter combined with a human gigai really reduced his combat abilities to the point of being equal to the Fullbring released Ichigo.
Realizing the inevitability of their stale mate, Ichigo proposed a truce. Grimmjow wouldn't get close to Karin or Yuzu as long as Isshin or Ichigo weren't there. He would only be allowed to stay within several hundred meters and watch over them. Ichigo wasn't sure what Orihime was planning, but since she thought there was a threat to his family, he wouldn't ignore it.
Ichigo had some clues on who attacked Ishida from Ginjo's story. The main suspect is a man named Shukuro Tsukishima who was the founder of Xcution. Apparently, he wanted to get revenge for Ginjo so he was trying to turn Ichigo against the group and recruit members for a new organization. His power was developing well and Ginjo revealed to him their plan to ambush Tsukishima at an old residence of his.
Ichigo was coming home with groceries when he noticed Grimmjow's Reiatsu flare up against another source that he didn't recognize. He sprinted back home and when he entered, Yuzu and Karin were huddled in the back with Grimmjow holding a man by the throat. The man was wearing a dress shirt and dress pants, and fit the description Ginjo gave him for Tsukishima.
"What happened here?"
"Tsk, this guy just shows up at the door acting innocent, but I could tell he was not an ordinary person. When the girl answered the door, he tried to strike her with his sword, but I grabbed his wrist and wrestled him down. He went after the two brats after slipping through but he underestimated me."
"This wasn't part of the plan…" Tsukishima mumbled. Before Ichigo could confront him, he burst out through the wall that he was being pressed against and escaped in the confusion. Ichigo tried to follow after him, but he had slipped away in the shroud of night.
"Why did you let him go!?"
"He slipped out of my grip, why didn't you catch him!?"
"Why didn't you go after him then!?"
"Idiot, what if he came back for the two brats? I'm here to watch over your family, do you want to leave them alone with that guy out there?"
Ichigo knew he was right with that logic but he was still frustrated. Karin and Yuzu had overheard the conversation and seemed to understand that 'Jack' wasn't here on a trip and was specifically brought to protect them.
"Big brother… what's going on? Is there a killer after us?"
Ichigo and Grimmjow began to clean up the mess and put up some plywood to cover the hole. Yuzu and Karin went upstairs to rest from the experience. Isshin eventually came back from the hospital where he was assisting. Ryuken had called him over to have a conversation about Orihime.
"Ichigo, I'll stay home with the girls for the next few days. It will be safer if you two took care of whatever is going on before coming back. Hey Ichigo, be careful."
…
"The plan didn't work, Ginjo. Someone was at the house protecting his family. I told you we made a move too quickly. We should have bided our time and investigated Ichigo Kurosaki completely before going after him."
"No, the information I got is good. We already know there are other strong people in Karakura town. From your description he doesn't seem to be a Soul Reaper so we are still safe. Ichigo is about to awaken his Fullbring completely. Bring that black haired girl to the estate, we'll use her as bait for Ichigo since we can't get to his sisters. Tell Tsukishima to be ready for our 'ambush' and then Ill steal Ichigo's power once he awakens completely. Moe and Jackie, since he has never seen you two, assist Tsukishima with blocking the other person."
"Why don't we just kill him?"
"According to Tsukishima's report, he was using only a fraction of his strength. It's best if you bide your time and stall. Don't force him to release his full strength. The most important thing we have to do is trigger Ichigo's powers to return and then steal it."
"Ginjo, Ichigo and another person just arrived. What do we do?"
"You two, head out through the back. The rest of us will use this chance to regroup and attack the estate. Make sure everything is ready before we arrive."
Ichigo and Grimmjow entered through the electronically locked door and arrived inside the high-class bar. Ginjo, Yukia, and Riruka were sitting on the couches and Giriko was cleaning a glass. Grimmjow looked over at the group and his eyes lit up. He was a battle maniac through and through and hoped to fight everyone in this room.
"Ginjo, we have to make our move right now! The former leader you were telling me about just tried to attack my family. Lead us to his hideout!"
"Of course, Ichigo, I was already planning on starting the mission soon anyway, so now is a perfect time. Everyone, lets go and deal with Xcutions biggest problem."
Ginjo accidently let out a subtle killing intent toward Ichigo, but he didn't notice. However, Grimmjow looked directly at Ginjo and gave him a sly smile. Ginjo didn't realize he was discovered and quickly covered up his emotions. However, Grimmjow didn't mention anything and let the man continue his charade. For him, the upcoming fight would be great entertainment in this world full of weak opponents.
