Chapter 3 Waking up
Magic can come in many forms and complexity but during my travels and studies of different types of magic, I have learnt that they can be broken down into 8 different bases.
Fire, water, earth, air, dark, light, space and anomaly.
Examples - while it is obvious that people that can shoot fire out of their hands have a fire type magic, lighting while having nothing to do with fire directly can also be classed as a fire type.

"... What the fuck was that" jack said becoming more and more confused by the second.
The ball of light was just floating there not saying anything as it was processing all of the information.
"Ohhhhhh" little light suddenly went
"I know where we are! "
Jack looked over to little light still trying to put together what the voice had said
"Oh and where's that? " he asked
"A dark room" she responded in a giddy voice she didn't know why but she felt happy being useful.

'Isn't that what I said before' jack thought to himself
"Ok so do you know how to leave? " jack asked
Little light started to feel a lot better and less confused after having the information sent to her.
"According to this thingy it says we have to wait"
"What thingy" jack asked
"This thingy"
Suddenly a slightly transparent purple screen with golden text popped up in front of Jack.

Jack suddenly jumped backwards and pointed at the screen
"What the hell is that"
"I don't really know I think its part of the system thingy" little light responded
"And what's a system I have no clue what the hell your on about"
"Give me a sec let me check" little light went quiet again as if looking for something.
"here it is"
Suddenly the purple screens words started to rearrange themselves, new letters were added and some taken away in a fluid manner.

"this is" little light said happily
Jack was staring at the screen is shock he just couldn't believe what was happening and his brain was starting to feel sluggish
'this has….. T….to be…. A dream…..' as Jack was trying to think this the world around him started to get brighter and brighter and the dark room around him started to collapse, little light and the tapestry behind started to fade when everything suddenly went black again all he could see was the purple screen in front of him but something was different about it, the location had changed from black room to searching then to 'forest edge village: Awairs house' before it started to slowly fade away as well.
Jack slowly started to open his eyes looking up at a stone roof, he was lying on a sofa and when he looked out the window he saw that is was dark out, he suddenly heard snoring and looked to his left and saw his mother, Elizabeth, laying her head on the table near him, a strong sent of alcohol entered his nose and noticed a few empty bottles around her
"she must of been worried" Jack said out loud
"yah she was" an old voice said by the door way
"by the fucks" Jack said surprised as he turned his head to the doorway.
There stood a tall grey haired man with brown eyes looking at Jack with an interested stare
"interesting, the twins took 12 hours to awaken but you only took 24 we expect you to take longer to awaken than the average time due to how badly your body was reacting before but it seems that we have some new talents in the village, why don't you gather some mana around your finger and let's see if we where right about the heating power"
Jack understood what he meant already starting to forget about what he considered a "dream" but as he was following the steps he learnt in class but instead of his finger glowing red it, his finger started to glow a deep purple.
'why does my finger feel so disconnected?' Jack thought to himself
'pretty' a child like voice suddenly entered his head
When Jack suddenly heard the voice he lost control of the mana and his finger returned to normal
'what the hell was that' Jack thought to himself.
'its me' little light responded
Before Jack had the chance to respond Awair started to speak again
"looks like we where way off about the magic type as well, haha" he awkwardly said
Jack just sat there in quiet trying to figure out what was going on and why he was hearing voices.
'I thought that was all a dream' Jack thought to himself
'nope' little light responded
'what is this place anyway oh and who's that guy and that woman, what's that odd smell' she fired questions by the second
Awair started to fake cough in to his hand trying to get Jacks attention, Jack looked up at Awair
"I'm sorry, what?" Jack asked feeling a bit overwhelmed by all that was happening
Awair looked at Jack slightly annoyed that he was being ignored
"I was asking if you also want me to ask the local lord to put you on the list for the Kingdoms academy test, it was unlikely you'd be accepted before due to us being from a poor village and you having a weak power but after gaining a magic type I'm unaware of you may have a higher chance of him accepting, I'll ask the local lord the magic type next time I see him no matter your answer so don't feel a need to answer right away"
Jack sat there quietly for a second and thought to himself before saying
"Can I have some time to think about it?"
"of course" Awair respond
"as long as it's before the next time I visit the Lord in a month take as long as you need, but I'm putting you and the twins up to join your uncles hunting party anyway so you can get some basic training in"
"Ok" Jack responded
