(Josh's perspective)

The group continued to follow the beast tracks until they came upon a clearing in the forest where the tracks suddenly ended.

"Clever girls" josh muttered under his breath

Thay all heard rustling in the Bush next to them, when suddenly a 5-foot long wolf burst out of the bushes and aims is jaw towards josh's throat, he easily ended the wolfs life with a cut to the throat.

He looked over to the kids and was slightly disturbed by what he saw, dave and helmer where fighting there own wolf with serious and slightly panicked expressions, but Jack... Jack Had a face of pure joy smiling from ear to ear as he fought the pack leader.

(helmers prospective)

'Fuck' helmer thought to himself as a wolf charged at him, doing the same as its pack and going for the throat, but helmer found the attacks easier to dodge than Jack's punches.

Helmer continued to dodge the wolfs attacks and it seems the wolf was getting frustrated and its attacks were getting more wild, this is when Helmer saw his opportunity, the wolf made a mistake, it jumped as high and as fast as it could, but by leaving the ground it could no longer dodge and that's when Helmer did his thing, he charged his right hand with as much lightning as he could a through a devastating right hook to the wolfs head, frying its brain instantly.

Helmer smiled as he won his first life or death battle and decided to go help the others.

But he suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder, he turned and saw that it was josh.

"well done," he said

"let's watch how the others do, ok"

"ok" helmer replied

(Daves and his opponents perspective)

No matter what the wolf did, all it felt was dispare, its instincts were screaming at it as it stared at the human cub and its weapon, if it ran it was dead, if it charges its dead, if it kept sitting there it was dead, for the first time in the wolfs life it felt fear.

And that was the last thing it felt as daves arrow pierced cleanly through its head.

But Dave wasn't happy

Because he knew that this was the smallest and weakest of this wolfs pack so of course, it would be the easiest.

He looked over to josh and helmer and they were just watching him.

"what the fuck was that," helmer said

"what was what" he replied

But helmer was just staring at the boy in shock.

'are village had truly been blessed, the boy Has a natural beast aura!"

(Jacks perspective)

Jack didn't release it but he had the biggest smile on his face.

He looked the massive wolf in the eyes and felt emotions he's only felt shadows of before, he knew he should feeling afraid, panicked and worried but all of that was overshadowed by one single emotion, ambition, and that did put a smile on his face.

The wolf growled and pounced to Jack, who drew his knife and used lighter on his hands and feet, having trained his mana pool to be large enough to do that, and he never moved so fast before, he usually had to use his heavier spell in training but now that's been removed.

Jack dodged the wolfs attacks and tried to throw some stabs with his knife in, but the wolf was also avoiding his attacks at almost the same speed.

'oh fuck' josh thought to himself

'it's medium tier'

Josh wanted to go help but he soon noticed that Jack was holding his own against the wolf

'if his life is in danger I'll step in

Jack and the wolf were in a stalemate, constantly attacking and dodging each other's attacks.

'We can't keep doing this, I'm running out of mana'

Jack decided to move all of his mana to his feet and legs and ran at a speed the wolf didn't expect.

'I need to take care of its legs' Jack thought to himself

He ran right in front of the wolf and before it had a chance to react, Jack went to stomp on the wolfs right legs joint, before it hit, he moved all his mana into the heel of his foot.

'heavier'

A loud crunching sound was heard that made everyone in the area squirm, the wolf howled in pain, its leg bending in the wrong way.

The wolf was in a rage, it went to bight Jack and bit right into his shoulder before and tossed him across the clearing.

'Fuck' Jack thought

'Always have a follow-up plan' he yelled in his mind

Jack stood back up again and his right shoulder was screaming at him to stop, but he didn't care, Jack had never felt so alive.

'little light, how am I doing, don't bring up the system just tell me'

'you haven't suffered any serious damage, but your mana is running low'

'so I have to finish this soon then'

Jack got back into position moving the lighter spell back to his hands and feet but then felt disappointed at what he was seeing.

The wolf was trying to stand up but collapsed every time, and Jack knew that the battle was over, but he kept his guard up just in case and walked towards the wolf, it growled and looked at Jack with hatred in its eyes.

Jack stabbed it in the head
