Because Raven was distracted by his own thoughts about Carson he didn't notice Menay standing from Carson's bed and make his way over, at least not until he sat down beside him. "As much as I hate to admit it, he has proven to be helpful." Menay claimed with a heavy tone. "Though, there is still something off about him that I don't understand nor am I comfortable with." he adds looking over to the bathroom as well, finally catching Raven's attention.

Realizing that Menay was just as concerned about the same thing Raven was when it came to how Carson was acting he wondered if they were thinking along the same lines, "What is that?" he asked finally looking from the door down to Menay.

"Well for starters there is the obvious thing," He claimed while pointing to Carson's phone that remained silent on the nightstand, "Have you noticed he hasn't messaged any women since Thursday and it's Tuesday?" he asked wondering if Raven would know if Carson was still talking to them when he wasn't in the bedroom.

However, Raven couldn't say anything against Menay's assumption sense he was right. Usually Raven would see Carson messaging at least two women throughout the day but lately he rarely picked up his phone. Raven shook his head no confirming that he hadn't seen Carson messaging any women as well, even with their coming plans.

"Figured," Menay grunted while he thought about it for a moment. During this time Raven remained silent thinking about what Menay had mentioned wondering if he would explain why this would be important when Menay continued. "This is common for someone who becomes a slave but other than that he shows no other signs of being one which is what's strange." Menay adds.

"Yeah he..." Raven stammered looking over with a surprised expression, "Slave, what?" he almost shouts wanting to know what Menay meant.

"I told you already not to..." Menay went to scold when he stopped mid sentence. Recalling he had yet to tell Raven of this consequence of feeding he realized such a reaction was called for. Compared to what Raven pre-assumed, it wasn't exactly as bad as it sounded so he knew he needed to explain, "Feeding slaves is what they call them. Those you feed off of start to crave your body because of your saliva, it's like a drug that makes them feel good." he explained.

Raven thought about it for a moment while he reached over to his clothes on the bed, this did explain why Jewels had a sudden interest in him but it still didn't make any sense, "Why?" he questioned wanting to know more about it knowing he should have asked this a long time ago.

Menay knew he would be curious so even though he was limited in his knowledge of Raven's kind, he would explain what he knew to help Raven, "Well if your body didn't trick them into believing they were feeling good with every encounter they wouldn't come back to you sense in the end you are taking their energy, their life force, every time." he explained watching Raven stand from the bed.

Still looking confused Raven began to take off the clothes he slept in to get ready for class, trying to gather what he wanted to ask about from what he just learned he couldn't quite put it into a question. Menay didn't care to wait for Raven to ask further as he continued, "Your pheromones will bring them in with little to no effort but unless you are starving the prey will not return to you for you to feed more without that toxin in your saliva." he explained why there were two different methods for the prey to come to Raven.

Raven looked to the bathroom where Carson was, becoming worried about what he may be doing to him by their arrangement, "Then shouldn't I just find someone else?" he muttered wondering if he could even find someone as convenient as Carson now.

Menay shook his head no, "If you want them to keep passing out on you, making it so you don't get a proper feeding, then yea... sure but this one in particular seems perfect for you to feed on while you learn since he's different" He urged knowing Carson, though strange, was the best one to feed off of right now.

Raven huffed pulling on his school pants, "So why is that, what does being different have to do with my feeding?" he griped, wanting Menay to get to the point since he was running out of time. "Why is he different?" Raven adds clarifying what he wanted to know most.

"I noticed it after the first time you fed on him, he didn't recover quickly then because it was your first feeding but since then he's been bouncing back like it was nothing" Menay claimed while also wondering what it was that allowed Carson to regain his strength so fast knowing it wasn't because of his stamina.

Raven narrowed his brow to the statement unable to understand anything about the Incubus side. He didn't know this would be unusual, "Getting used to it, maybe?" he suggested hoping maybe that's all it was.

Menay handed Raven his shirt while he corrected Raven's assumption, "That's not how it works Raven. If you feed off someone for long periods of time they eventually start to wither. That's why you need to keep moving from people to feed on, not just because of your secret being exposed" he explained while unintentionally causing Raven to worry.

'Wither?' This word bothered Raven as he repeated it within his mind but he didn't know what this meant if Carson wasn't being affected like he was supposed to. Raven yawned once more while pulling down his shirt, "So maybe I am not feeding right?" he asked while suggesting that maybe it was because he wasn't taking the energy like he was supposed to that Carson was fine.

Menay had never heard of an incubus nor succubus that was unable to feed properly though he wasn't going to rule it out, "Maybe, it would explain why you are so tired but then the strangest thing is he doesn't act like he needs to be around you..." Menay explained knowing it wasn't just his energetic presence that bothered him.

Raven chuckled looking over to Menay with a vacant expression not finding the statement funny, "He always clings to me, what are you talking about?" he boasted without notice. Raven couldn't believe that Carson didn't look like he needed him after the relationship they have always had together.

Menay scoffed to this bold attitude, "Exactly, always is the key, after the first time he kissed you he should have jumped to wanting to be with you the next day but nothing; he waited, found out your secret, and exposed you before he tried to do anything again" he elaborated bringing Raven's ego down a peg seeing as nothing had changed between their relationship.

Raven paused for a moment, peering down at his shoe in hand. "So..." he finally muttered trying to not think about what this meant.

"So that shows restraint Raven, and he bargained with you instead of begged to be with you, that's not a slave." Menay explained further knowing that nothing that has happened could be explained as normal.

"I was a guy most of the time..." Raven defended trying to give a reason why Carson didn't attack him afterwards but even so he had been a girl in front of him once more and nothing happened, "Jewels jumped me the second time because I was guy because she's straight, so maybe since I'm not Carson's type..." He continued trying to make more logic of why Carson didn't attack him.

"Did you see her as a girl?" Menay countered knowing Jewels would have attacked him either way. When Raven didn't respond he already knew the answer was no, "Guy or girl they will come to your body it wouldn't change, yet he's not affected. There's no explaining that Raven" he urged the idea in Raven's head that this wasn't a normal situation.

Raven always knew Carson was different, sense he never tried to be with Raven like others had before but with his over friendly playful nature he never thought anything of just how different Carson was. However, with what Menay was explaining he was truly starting to believe there is something off about Carson himself, "I don't think he was affected by my pheromones either" Raven informed slightly seeking answers for this as well knowing Carson was the only one who acted different when he was first changed into a girl.

Menay couldn't understand, he looked up to Raven having never heard of a human that could resist the pheromones before either nothing was making sense, "What do you mean?" he inquired wanting to know further feeling as if it was starting to sound like Carson wasn't human at all.

Even though he didn't want to, Raven began to explain, "When he first kissed me, just before that he was treating me ugly and showed none of the other horny zombie signs like everybody else was," he explained knowing Menay wasn't around to see it but he was sure that the pheromones wouldn't have that sort of negative reaction on anyone. "I'm pretty sure he kissed me just because he wanted to but he's also never had a crush on me so I don't get it" he adds not sure if the pheromones have been the cause for all the confessions or not he still wanted Menay to know.

"Strange..." Menay grumbled thinking about what Raven said though when he mentioned that Carson didn't have a crush on him his brow arched as he glanced away, "I wouldn't be too sure about that" Menay grumbled under his breath just soft enough for Raven not to hear.

"Wh-" Raven scoffed as he went to ask what Menay said but decided by Menay's body language it was going to irritate him so he dropped it, "What do you think it is?" he inquired trying to get back to the topic.

Menay shook his head knowing he wished he had spent more time with Salem and her people since he didn't know what this meant, "I don't know, I don't know enough about your mother's kind. I only know from what I have seen since being with her, just before you were born." He informed being honest sense he was only with her for a little while before she and Raven's father had Raven, "I guess I could always ask her? She would probably know." he adds looking back up hoping to change Raven's expression.

Even though it changed, it became sour like Menay had said something wrong, "I'd rather you not" Raven warned not wanting Menay to speak to her about this current situation.

Menay gave a weak chuckle, "Why not?" he questioned wondering why the interest in what was different with Carson changed when Raven's mother was involved.

Raven hissed as he picked up his things, "If mom and dad find out I'm feeding on my roommate and he knows what I am, what do you think they will think of that?" He explained in a condescending tone.

Menay smirked hearing these words looking down for a moment understanding where Raven was coming from since he himself didn't like seeing them together so often. "Good point, I guess even if you are an incubus I'm sure it would be something they don't want to think about." he mentioned agreeing to leave it be for now.

"Yep" Raven grunted glad that Menay understood hoping this meant he would do as he was told and not ask his mother.

Menay sighed looking back to Raven, "For now I'll keep quiet till I find a way to ask without exposing who it is in question." Menay explained knowing he still would like to know the answer as well.

Hearing this Raven smiled knowing Menay knew why he didn't want his parents to know, "Thank you," he grinned giving a shrug, "Well another day of school" he complained while stepping towards the door.

"So it is, be careful Raven" Menay claimed till he seen Raven stop by the bathroom staring at the door.

"Does my kind kill people... to feed?" Raven questioned while not looking from the door showing that he had been thinking about the word wither since it was said.

"Ugh..." Menay groaned as he was caught off guard from this question and hated it knowing Raven needed to know the truth, "Yes, but to what I recall your kind hasn't practiced killing anyone for a long time." he informed giving a dreaded sigh.

Raven glanced back at Menay "What about by mistake?" he questioned, knowing that if it was a possibility then he could end up hurting Carson in the end.

"Raven stop," Menay scolded as he heard how Raven was starting to worry about unnecessary things, "I will keep an eye on your friend, please do not hesitate to feed when you need. It's what you are now Raven" He informed reminding Raven he didn't have a choice if he wanted to live.

"Yeah, okay" Raven mutter while glancing over as Menay looked up at him with a scolding expression expecting that Raven would do something stupid. The fact that Menay didn't inform him before that he could kill Carson or anyone else made Raven wonder if he ever planned to tell him. "And Menay..." he hesitated as he called out Menay's name.

Menay's expression changed while his ears flicked back to listen to what Raven had to say. "Yes?" he inquired as Raven became reluctant to even look at him.

Raven reached the door knob looking back to Menay with an absent smile, "Go back to the cat. Carson's right, the child is creepy" he claimed turning the handle giving a different response than he originally wanted.

Menay's ear stayed flattened like they were, unsettled by Raven's expression, having not seen that fake smile since Raven made friends with Carson. "Maybe if you say please" he countered even if he planned to listen he tried to get more from Raven than that dull response.

Raven rolled his eyes while he stepped through the door closed it behind him without any response. Menay sighed having expected such a reaction from him, it hurt to see Raven reverting back to his old ways though.

Taking a moment to gather himself Menay looked back up to the bathroom, "Eavesdropping must be your new hobby, you should probably get in that shower before you're really late" Menay informed knowing that Carson had never stepped into the water but rather kept it running while being by the door having heard when he first pressed against it.

There was a moment of silence as Carson was reluctant to admit he was listening in. However, knowing that Menay knew he was there made him question why their conversation continued so he couldn't keep quiet. "If you knew I was listening why did you keep talking?" he inquired waiting for the answer hoping maybe it was for a good reason.

Menay shrugged even though he knew why but he wasn't going to tell Carson, "Because I am curious, I wonder if you gained anything from that?" he questioned wondering just what it was that Carson hoped to gain from listening to them speak with each other. Silence fell on the door as a response leaving him to assume nothing he heard was what he wanted, "I guess not." he sneered.

"Shut up, cat" Carson growled while stepping away from the door knowing he was right.
