Play ya in Pac-Man

Honestly, I wasn't ready to be 'alone' with King for a couple of days. I mean, I was always really 'alone' with him and I was never really 'alone' with him.

The staff is always around but John and Miria never really are.

I kinda just see them at breakfast and dinner.

But, the two days went by normally. King bought me every single Hershey's bar at the nearest Walmart. Luckily that's not the one my mom goes to.

I think the unrealistic expectations were supposed to start today because I got here last Wednesday, but they haven't told me to like, start waking up at 5 am or, like, do a Pamela Reaf workout twice a day, or like, give up drinking everything other than water.

So, whatever it is, it'll be fine.

"Good afternoon, Miss," Jessie said as she walked into my room, I had my door open.

"Oh, hi Jessie," I said, bending a page of my book and closing it.

"Miss Miria has requested you go for a jog with Mister King." She told me.

"Uhm- alright?" Oh god. They're going to murder me in a jog. Welp, let me get on my knees and pray to God.

Dear God, I'm sorry I haven't been going to church. I promise it's not because I don't believe. I swear I'll-

"Miss, what are you doing?" I looked up to see Jessie standing over me. I rose to my feet and straightened out my shirt, I cleared my throat.

"Uh- nothing Jessie. I'll be going now." I smiled before I made my way out. That was embarrassing, but whatever. It's not like Jessie's looking for things to embarrass me, right? Right.

I made my way down to the backyard and looked around. Ah, there he is.

"So just a jog around the yard right? Mama's got some fat rolls she wants to keep." I asked as soon as I saw him.

"Yea, today just one." He said, I could see him sweating and his breathing was shallow and unsteady. Yea, they're murdering me.

God, please, I promise I won't curse anyone out anymore if you just grant me th-

King got me off my knees and dragged me to the edge of the yard. I'd walked it, it took a good 20 minutes, but I didn't think jogging or running was even an option.

'Just one lap, it's not that bad,' he said 'It'll be over in a flash,' he told me. My insides are FUCKING BURNING and it feels like I'm going to DIE!

"Oh my god, oh my god, I'm never doing this again," I chuckled as I bent over and tried to catch my breath. I was out there for 15 minutes.

"I think you'll be doing this again real soon," King said, and that man was just standing there! I mean he wasn't out of breath or anything! I knew my legs were going to become literal gelatin and I didn't even run.

"Over my dead boy, wait, never mind, over my revived body," I said, standing straight up again.

"Haha, very funny, come on. There should be some water for us over there," he pointed to a table near the pool.

I followed him over and felt my mouth become dry seeing the delicious-looking glass of water. It had condensation on the outside of the glass and lots of ice on the inside of the glass and a little umbrella. I swear this is the most appetizing-looking glass of water I'd ever seen.

Once I put my mouth to the cup, I couldn't stop until there was nothing but ice left, and I even ate one of the ice circles. Yep, that's right, these fancy m-f-er's have ice circles instead of ice cubes.

"Okay, okay, enough. You'll throw up if you drink another glass of water as fast and you drunk that one." King said, taking my glass and sitting it back on the table, which was glass itself.

"Can't not jog, can't drink water, I wanna go home, I can't do anything here." I pouted.

"Alright, whatever, I was about to shower and head to the arcade, I wanted you to come, but since you hurt oh-so-"

"What are you talking about you weirdo? I'm going to shower." I was no longer breathing shallowly and my legs felt fine.

I ran up to my room and showered like actually showered, I realized this was the first time I actually showered since I arrived, and for King? Um, no, for the arcade.

I didn't even know he was allowed to leave the house on a school day anyway.

I showered and put on new clothes, a simple oversized Spongebob shirt and shorts so short it looked like I was just wearing the shirt.

And blue earrings because.... under the seaaaaaaaaa, under the seaaaaaaaaa.

After about 5 minutes of just sitting on my chair in the corner with a desk, someone knocked on my door, someone being King.

"Miria and John let you leave the house on a school night?" I asked with slight curiosity in my voice.

"Yea," King hunched his shoulders, he was wearing a black shirt with a red baby angel with a gun in its hands and white ripped jeans and red shoes. Nice.

"Wonder if John and Miria are adopting," I whispered under my breath.

"Nah, they said there'd be only one royal in here," King said.

"Well, then what does that make your future wife?" I asked tauntingly.

"Imma King, she'd be a queen," King shrugged.

"But what about that one royal thing?" I said, my mouth open in a smile, thank god he's turned around. He couldn't answer my question so he stopped talking.

I hadn't even realized that we weren't headed to the garage, oh no, we'd walked deep into the huge manor I'd yet to see. Past the main and dining hall, (yea, dining hall, ya girl has class) past the theater, but I don't know what else we passed since I hadn't really seen anything.

But we walked to the arcade inside the manor. Inside! I didn't even know that was a thing, yea sure, an arcade game or two, but this was a full-fledged arcade. I have GOT TO stick around for another one of his parties.

"Oh- my- wow," I said as I looked around.

"Play ya in Pac-Man."
