Under The Shower

I moved away from the desk and onto the curtained window screen on the right side of my desk. I remove the curtains and blocked my vision in advance with the back of my hand from the scorching sunbeams that may travel through the window inside and blind my vision which was already used to the darkness. But then I noticed there wasn't any sunlight seeping in through.

I peek through my fingers and it was the darkest color of all the nights, I had encountered. There wasn't a single bulb that could light the world outside. I blinked and rubbed my eyes to make sure, my sight was working fine but it still was the same. Not depending on the view I finally take a look at my wristwatch and it was midnight.

Almighty save us!

I was working for the last eight hours of the day nonstop and I just realized it now when half of the country was fast asleep.
