AMELIA POV
Yesterday, after Tisha dropped that bombshell about our double date, I couldn't function the way I usually do. I was unable to prep for the following week, which is my normal routine I started back home. I hardly slept through the night, my mind was on what would happen today. It was like I was having mini movie scenes in my mind contemplating about all the possible things that could happen tonight.
Then Tisha would inform me about us spending the night at Jumari's parent's Town house in New York. Can she be any more serious...?
This morning I went for my usual jog through the campus streets but since the day I had my run-in with Eliot, I had been using a different route, for avoidance purposes. I'm still a little bit embarrassed, don't judge me...
Upon entering the dorm, I noticed Tisha searching through her closet.
"You're up rather early" I said, It's not like her to be up this early in the morning...
"Yeah we got a big day ahead of us you know" she said in a 'durrr' tone...
"It's not your first date with Jumari, Tish," I said while walking past her and heading for the bathroom,
"But it is for first date with you know who," she shouted...
Don't remind me, I just hope he likes me...
The reviews I got from my previous dates with Jumari's friends wasn't too pleasant. I've been called a f***ing bitch, heartless witch, monster, among others. The funny part out of all of this is that even though they call me these names, they still try to approach me in public and message me on Facebook but I don't entertain assholes...
"So, what are you going to wear?" Tisha asked, while I exit the bathroom with my towel wrapped around me, ten minutes later...
"Tisha we haven't even had breakfast yet "I protected", why are you even worried about me, think about yourself"
"Melia I have nothing to worry about, especially when it comes to Mari"
"Let me eat first then we can think about outfits" I said.
We both decided to go to the campus cafe for breakfast. There isn't a lot of people in the cafe on a Saturday, I thought to myself upon entering and looking at the empty tables and chairs.
"I had a conversation with mom the other day"
"And?" I said, I try to avoid conversations with my family, I don't know why...
"I don't know about you but I don't like our living arrangement, the dorm I'm referring to" for a minute there I thought she was referring to me... "So I complained about it and she was like she would contact her realtor to look into places we could rent, closer to campus obviously. So what do you think?"
"I don't mind it, I really don't like sharing a kitchen and living room with strangers anyway..."
"Exactly" Tisha added "plus do you know they got curfew? I can't deal"
"So that's why you want to leave" this chick is too clever, I thought while shaking my head...
Tisha chuckled, that's an obvious yes. Tisha usually walks in at around five in the morning when she hangs out with Jumari.
"Well alrighty then"
I don't mind leaving the dorm and going into our own space and knowing my aunt, she'll find the perfect place for us.
We just got back from having breakfast. It's already after eleven and I was informed that we leave at six thirty.
"I gotta visit one of auntie's salon, my hair is in a mess" I said while examining myself in the mirror,
"me too, I need a change" Tisha said, standing beside me.
"Ok well let's get ready"
Here we go...
It's now six fifteen, boy did that time fly by fast. Tisha's and I decided to match our outfits. We're wearing faded blue jeans short pants with white t-shirts and a jacket. My pants is shorter that Tisha's by a little bit and I chose my black and gold jacket with my black and white Jordan's and a black sock that reaches above my knees. Tisha wore her black and red Jordan's to complement the style of her jacket. We both chose to wear our hair down with our natural curls. We looked absolutely fabulous if I do say so myself, simple yet effective. We also packed a change of clothes among other necessities seeing that we are spending the night.
Six thirty exact Tisha's got a message on her phone stating that Jumari and Eliot is downstairs our dorm waiting for us. To say I was nervous was an understatement.
"You look sexy love, so don't worry, if he doesn't like you, his loss" Tisha reassured me...
With that we left our dorm...
