Chief Kalibari kept silent neither admitting nor denying the second generals utterances. He looked at his generals whom he had served with for years. He personally knew of their bravery and unwavering service to Lekuta. They all bore the scars of pride as testament to all they had endured to protect their people and their beloved village.
"Generals, you have been by my side ever since I ascended to this chieftain. You all experienced those dark ugly days that threatened to annihilate us all."
"But the peace treaty was formed and it saved us, but it's no secret that not everyone was appeased."
"Some losses cut too deep and can never be appeased after all."
Chief Kalibari watched as the Generals travelled back in time in their minds and mulled their private thoughts.
"Great Chief I hear what your saying, are you convinced this is what's happening. And do you think it's coming from within our ranks?" General Gulazi spoke his mind after a long period of deliberation.
