The neighborhood in which the Pine’s lived remained quiet, unlike the town of Millersville. Most houses were tucked away, hidden by trees and fences, shielded from the media frenzy going on around them. Life stayed relatively mediocre and mundane. Many folks living there had leadership positions within corporations based out of Philadelphia. They weren’t tied to the economic fluctuations of the tourism seasons. Some families came from a bit of money, others worked remotely or commuted the hour and thirty minutes into the city should they have some big important board meeting to attend.
