2:1,2,3 Surprise!

Zac

I was on my way to school when I felt my phone vibrate. It was a message from Vivian.

Why are you walking?

I looked around to see where she was and noticed a black car come closer towards me. The car stopped and the door to the driver's seat opened. A woman with long hair in a white uniform got out of the car and looked at me.

"Why are you walking alone?" She asked, her voice laced with surprise.

"Is it forbidden?" I answered jokingly.

"Nonsense, get in," She said as she got back in her car. I swiftly followed her and sat in the passenger seat.

"Is this how you want to start your first day at SICoM?"

"My car was damaged yesterday and mom didn't want to lend me her car, besides, I wasn't aware that there weren't any taxis up to the school gate." I explained to her.

"You broke your car again?" She exclaimed. I just smiled in response.

"Unbelievable Zach, I thought you stopped drag racing?" She asked, irritated.

"I did! That was the last one. For now."

"Zachary!" She shouted in despair while I just laughed in amusement.

"Okay. No more racing, cousin." I assured her.

I just smiled at her reaction as she looked at me with a blank look in her face. She's really short tempered, I thought.

I looked out the window as we were about to enter the university and at the top of the gate was the school's name 'SOUTHVILLE INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF MEDICINE' written with black paint.

She drove into the school's parking lot and parked her car at the far end where a group of students were waiting, only then to realize that they were waiting for Vivian.

I assumed she completely forgot about me as she hopped off the car and went to her friends so I was left with no choice but to follow her and walk towards them.

"Hey Zach." I smiled when Caleb noticed me, one of Vivian's friends, well from the five of them I only knew him and Azai— who didn't seem to be here.

As for the others, I didn't really know them. Only familiar with their faces because of the pictures Vivian has posted on her social media accounts.

"Why didn't you attend the class yesterday?" Caleb asked me as I came closer.

"Personal matters." I answered calmly and glanced at Vivian who simply rolled her eyes.

"Finally! We met you in person, I heard a lot about you," A woman with a dimple approached and lent out her hand for a hand shake. "Farrah Pedley."

"Nice to meet you Farrah, I'm Zachary Rivera." I took her hand and she introduced me to the rest.

We stayed in the parking lot for a few minutes because it looked like they were about to surprise someone. I wasn't really interested so I just pretended that I was listening to what they were saying, even though I wasn't.

After a while of discussing what to do, about how they plan to surprise a friend of theirs and for my cousin's sake, I would be the one to take the picture of them and everything that had something to do with their plan.

"I didn't know that Azai had a twin." I whispered to Vivian as we walked towards our classroom.

"Just do what I told you and don't ask too many questions." She said rudely and walked ahead with her friends.

I took a deep breath and looked at the camera they had given me earlier. They planned the surprise to take place in the classroom while I just take a picture of them doing so. It's as simple as it is, I thought.

I followed them and we stopped at a door with the number 701 on it. The man with the black bag entered the room first. He looked like he was the most serious and quiet in the group— I think his name is Darius.

As he opened the door, each of us walked in to find that there were already some early comers in the classroom.

A woman — whom I think is Kalila — walked to the front. She had very long hair and looked to be quite rude. She announced to everyone about their plan to surprise Azai's twin. Some students looked shocked when they heard the announcement. Maybe they didn't know either that he had a twin, I thought.

After she told everyone about the plan that was about to take place, they started fixing and organizing everything inside the classroom. As I saw them start to attach the balloons in every corner, I was about to help when Caleb told me not to and instead start focusing on my part as their photographer.

Everyone was busy with all the preparation while I just clicked the camera to capture what everyone's doing. It took them around 20 minutes for everything to be ready.

"Azai just sent me a message. They are already at the elevator!" The girl with a dimple shouted. Also known as Farrah.

After she said that I didn't really remember what happened next, only aware that everyone went into panic mode. Until someone turned off the light. All of them were hidden at the back of the room while I chose a good spot where I would be able to capture everything.

"This is really boring." I whispered to myself. I then heard someone trying to open the door. I positioned myself properly and I was ready to click the camera.

The door opened the same time the light was switched on and there was a sudden noise. I didn't hear them clearly since I could no longer pay attention as I was too busy taking pictures of them.

As I kept on taking shots of them, I could see how happy everyone was. Some of them, like Vivian, who burst into tears and hugged a woman with blonde hair.

She was probably the reason for this surprise. I focused the camera on her until I could see her face completely, then I felt something strange. Accidentally, the camera slipped off of my hands as I looked at her. Silence momentarily filled the air as the sudden sharp noise caught the attention of everyone.

"ZAC!"
