Return of the Cheater

My vision comes back to me. I'm up in the air under the night sky, my hand was still holding onto something. It was the chest that I held onto a while ago. I was falling fast and I looked down and see that I was back on the rooftop of the mansion. . Seph ran towards me and chanted something, I couldn't make out what she said clearly. Whatever magic spell she used on me, it slowed my fall. I landed down with the chest and fell on my knees. That fight with that giant golem took most of my stamina. Seph runs up close to me.

"Hey, you okay?" she asks

"Aw, Seph's worried. That's new" I tease her

"Fine then, what's in the chest?" she replies

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just a little tired from getting this. How long was I out?"

"You were gone for 10 minutes, a bounded field was placed around the mansion. No one can get in or out of this place"

I look around and see how badly beat up Domotraus is. Other knights of Hollow Arthas were here and tending to the wounded. I couldn't find any signs of the shadow demon and the man who summoned it. If I remember, his name is Benny? Not sure.

"Where are the others?" I ask

I looked up at Seph and I hadn't realized that my head was resting on her lap. She takes out a flask containing a transparent, colorless liquid. Drink from it.

"Razz and Ravenna are taking care of the other guy who caused ruckus in the ballroom" she answers

I try to get up but Seph puts me down.

"You need to rest" she says

"I can't I have to help the others" I answer

"We have the Hollow Arthas knights, don't worry"

My vision starts to blue and I might be hallucinating. The chest seems to the shrunken down, and flew inside my pocket. I black out.

The sounds of swords clanging against each other. Battle cries heard every where. I see myself in the middle of the war zone. In the middle of no where, on sand dunes. The sky is dark red, and there fighting against a force of evil. All of our opponents had the dark aura around them. A winged girl with horns approaches me with claws pointing towards me. Holding a silver sword with a golden hilt, the blade had the words 'Galatine' inscribed. The sword glowed gold. The winged girl stops its approach when it noticed the sword glow. I lunge in, and slash the girl. It bleeds out and fall to the floor.

"Nice one!" a girl with a book shouts

I look around, and the battlefield was full of an army of cloaked assassins fighting against an army of devils? I'm not sure what to call these. I've never seen enemies like these before. I look at the girl that complimented me, and she had purple robes on and a wizard hat, holding a book. Multiple devils approach her from all sides, and her book begins to float. She slams the ground and the sand rise surrounding her pushing the devils away. The wall of sand looks like it get pushed violently from inside the wall with a very loud sound that could potentially deafen people. The devils can pushed away as well and they get back up as if the force was nothing. The book flies back into her hand and the devils go straight towards her. Two assassins appear from the sand and block the attacks, defending her.

"Lady Steak, are you alright?" an assassins asks

"Yes" she answers

Holding my sword, I somehow have a goal to enter the kingdom not far from here.

"Therion! Stick to the plan!" Steak shouts

My parent is here. I look around and try to find Therion. I see Moru from my other dream, fighting multiple devils with his scimitars that can create dark flames and white flames. Other than that, the rest are all assassins fighting the devils. The girl that complimented me earlier taps my back. I turn around and look at her.

"Therion, are you okay?" she asks

"Therion?" I ask back

"Now's not the time to play dumb, we won't last long here. We're only buying you time to get in, the others are half way there. Once you all reach, we're going to retreat" she says

"You're Steak right?" I ask making sure

"Who else would I be?"

She gives me a hard slap.

I wake up rushing upwards, and I find myself on a bed.

"Hey you alright?"

I look to the side and see Seph sitting on a chair reading a book. She closes the book and places it on the table. She comes close to check my temperature.

"You seem to be doing fine. Do you need water?" she asks

"I'm fine. I just had a dream about something" I answer

"What was it about?"

"Some kind of war"

I move to the side of the bed, and get out. Seph immediately turns away.

"Well, I'll talk to you later"

She rushes out of the room, with her face bright red.

"Well, see you. I guess?"

I walk to the mirror and see that I wasn't wearing any clothing. I feel so dumb not checking myself first. I look at the book Seph left on the table and the title of the book was 'The Defender of Realms, Avalon'. I opened the book and read the first line.

"The Great Kingdom of Avalon. Protector of the realm..." were in the first line of the book

I open the closet, and my clothes are inside. I put on my trousers and shirt with the cloak on them. I check my bag and see everything I placed inside is still there. I get my last dagger and equip it hidden near my waist. I equip the handbow on my wrist, and get Seph's book then exit the room. Seph was waiting outside.

"You took your time" she says

"I'm guessing you want your book back?" I ask

"Well.... yeah.. you could say"

I give her the book and she takes it.

"Where are we anyway?" I ask

"Hollow Arthas quarters, the door at the end of the hall should lead us to the main room, then we'll just go to the briefing room" she says

"Why there?"

"Everyone else is there discussing the next plan of action, we are to take down the Gem of Rider right?"

"Yeah, then we have the King's assistance in fighting Cilan"

"Actually there's one thing I want to check out, could you wait here a bit?" I ask

"Sure"

I head back inside the room and lock the door. I take out the chest from my pocket. It had gold edges, and a lock. The feather of Gottlich was also still in the pocket, along with the scroll from Edengeld. I put the feather and scroll in the bag. The chest was unlocked, so I opened it and inside is a stone. I get the stone and the chest disappears. The stone was round and green in color. The door opens.

"What's taking you so long- is that a dragon stone?!" Seph says is excitement

"This stone? I don't know, do you want it?" I ask

"Are you sure you'll give it to me?"

"Yeah, have it"

I toss the stone to her, and she catches it hurriedly.

"Don't throw something as precious as this!" she says angrily

"What even is that?" I ask

"Judging by the color, this is dragon stone"

"What does it do anyway?"

"According to a book I read, this should give dragon-like traits and abilities" she answers

"I'd love to see you in the front lines then" I reply

"I-" she stutters then look away

"Let's go to the briefing room now, they're waiting" she says
