Ifri the Demon

Razz dashes towards the noble with his long sword attempting to slash him, making the first strike. The noble evades the attack moving backwards keeping his distance.

"Stay still!" Razz shouts

The noble continues moving back to keep his distance, in which to me looked like he was attempting to flee. I activated my boots of speed and closed the distance in no time. Potion of Strength still in effect, I swung my short sword, enhanced with the divine power within my hand. The noble attempted to block it with another magical shield, but I broke through and got a clean cut.

"Nice one Athel!" Razz inspires me

"Hold him down" I shout to my team

Domotraus was the nearest one, kept running trying to keep up with my speed. He makes it by the time I slashed through the shield, and his body enlarges entering a rage state. Raising his fist, a hidden blade appears from his gauntlet. He shoves the blade down to the noble's shoulder, piercing through blood splatters out. I cut his other hand off the moment I collect myself and it comes flying off. The noble screams in pain from all the attacks we're throwing at him. The rest of the team catches up to us.

"Well that was easy.." Razz says

"Not yet, let's restrain him first" Ravenna says "We can't let him off the hook just yet. We're going to have to make sure he's down for the count"

"I've already used my ropes and my crossbow is still under the arch on the gate" I say

"No worries, I can create something" Ravenna says

Ravenna takes out a bottled water. She pours a bit of water into the air and with her magic, she controls the water and it somehow produces even more water. She shapes the water into 2 cuffs big enough for the noble's legs and hand. Right before she could put the cuffs on him. He disappears right in front of us, and appears 15ft away.

"I guess I shouldn't be taking you Assassins of Dusk lightly. I've been here for quite a while waiting for his return... Now I won't fail" the noble says

"You still got some fight in you huh? Let's take him down again!" Domotraus says

The noble's body gets covered in darkness and we waited for a few moments on what would happen next. Soon after, a leg comes out followed by his entire body. He looked even more different and the dark aura I could sense from him intensified more. His skin changed into purple and it looked hardened, as if it was a natural armor. The hand I cut off grew back. His whole body turned large from before. On one hand, a great sword appeared and he held it with ease.

"I guess I have no choice" he said "But to show my true form... I am... Ifri.."

Ravenna's water cuffs turn into small droplets and they zoom rapidly towards Ifri freezing mid air. Ifri teleports to the side to dodge the attack. Razz closes in on him with his long sword swinging again. The Ifri does a cheat move and disappears.

"Athel, behind you!" Ravenna shouts

I turn around and see that Ifri had teleported behind me. I slash at him again, and of course he teleports away. He appears in front of the party smiling.

"The moment you assassins couldn't touch me was when the victor was decided" Ifri says "Surrender now.. a painless death I shall give"

We regrouped back together keeping our distance from Ifri. I turn to face to Seph.

"Seph, any ideas?" I ask

"Keep him occupied for a while longer" Seph replies

We nod and the three of us, me Domotraus and Razz, charged at Ifri with our weapons.

"Perfect! A straight approach!" Ifri says

My boots of speed still being active, I overtook the other two. I raised my sword into the air and slash towards him. I didn't put much force behind the slash knowing he would teleport away, which he did. He immediately disappeared and I turned around to check if he would appear near them. Both Domotraus and Razz were still far behind, so moved away from my initial position. He appeared in front of me and watched me move away. The moment I saw him, I immediately tried to go chase him down. My sword glowed and I shoot out waves of beam at him. He raises his hand opening his palm, and the beams disappear upon getting close to him. He disappeared all of a sudden and I looked back at the rest of the team to see if he would attack those that haven't caught up with me. He appeared behind the two that were beginning to catch up to me and is about to slash his sword at them.

"BEHIND YOU!" I shout out to them

Domotraus and Razz jumped in opposite directions dodging the attack. Ifri disappeared then appeared right in front of me. I was surprised by his appearance so I leapt back, then he disappeared again. With all my force including the strength potion I had drank, I slashed backwards predicting he would appear behind me. He appeared behind me, but it seemed like his body hasn't fully materialized so my sword slashed right through him. I leapt back right after the attack had missed. Domotraus finally caught up to me and got in between me and Ifri. Ifri was in an attacking stance and he slashed. The sword was stopped by Domotraus' hand that glowed black upon contact.

"A cursed shield? You must've got it from the weapon storage in our base then" Ifri said

He pushes the sword with his strength which pushes Domotraus and I back.

"He's got enormous power" Domotraus says

"Razz!" I shout out

I looked over at where Ifri was and he had disappeared. I looked over to where Razz was and Ifri appeared. Razz's magic battleaxe expanded and transformed into a shield to block the attack, but Ifri stood for a while and didn't attack. Domotraus and I moved back to Seph and Ravenna.

"We can't hold on any longer. You got a plan yet?" I ask

"I noticed something from Ifri.. I believe to have found an opportunity to attack" Seph replies

"Great tell us about it" Domotraus says

"Hold on, he might be able to even hear us, he might change his attacking pattern. Just follow my lead" Seph says

"I'll support as well, I believe to have noticed this opportunity you spoke about" Ravenna says

"Alright it's all set then" Seph says

"Get his attention first" Ravenna says

Domotraus and I rush to Razz while Seph and Ravenna fall behind. Without knowing what the plan is, but knowing there is a plan. I fully placed my trust on what Seph had in mind. If what she really found out about him is something that can give us the winning edge, this should be it. The win is ours.
