POV Lisa
At four in the morning, "my" phone started ringing and was the ringtone HORRIBLE. I answered it thinking it was Leon. "Leon, if you are drunk again I am NOT picking you up," I said firmly. I was waiting for a response but instead, I heard an unusual laugh. "Leon are you drugged," I said very worriedly.
There was a long pause until I heard an unfamiliar voice and blaring music playing in the background. "Well, someone is in an enthusiastic mood this morning."
I immediately knew that the voice didn't belong to my brother. The voice was way different from my brother but at least I know he isn't drugged. I then looked at the screen which said,'Unknown caller'. Quickly, I put the phone back to my ear. "Who is this? By the way, your music is horrible." I said.
"The owner of the phone you have and 'High Hopes' is THE best." the unknown caller said.
"Forget that topic. How are YOU the owner of the phone," I asked confused. I was still quite tired but tried to comprehend what the voice was saying.
"You have MY phone," the voice said again, but more firmly.
"What are you talking about? This is MY phone." I said stubbornly. I remembered that I put my phone on my nightstand before going to sleep. I was determined that it was mine.
"Look at the phone you are holding. It's my phone." the voice demanded.
I did what I was told. The lock screen photo was a cute boy leaning on a car. She immediately knew that it wasn't her phone, but knew that the boy in the photo was kinda cute. "That photo isn't even cute," I said trying to sound serious.
"Hmm... No one asked but I know you're lying," the voice said in a teasingly matter.
I wanted to change the subject before he knew that I was lying. "Who has my phone and how did I get yours?" she demanded.
Before he could answer, I couldn't remember what happened yesterday. "Well, if your lock screen has a picture of a group of girls at a carnival, then it is me who has your phone."
How in the world did he end up getting MY phone... I thought.
Then I remembered. I went to a restaurant with my friends but left my phone on the table we sat in. Then the memory from last night came to me. I forgot until he called. "Ugh! Stupid Ed Sheeran music. It really does make people fall asleep like a baby" I muttered.
"Hmm... seems like someone forgot to drink their milk as well," said the voice teasingly.
I forgot I was on a call. I started blushing. 'Luckily, we are not Facetiming,' I said to myself.
At least my phone is okay...she thought to herself.
"Okay, we need to meet somewhere so that we could give back our phone," I said.
"Well, I have to go to championships for soccer. Soooo, I'm not going to be here for about... a month or so." said the voice.
"WHAT? A MONTH? Can you come earlier." I said frantically.
"I wish, but I can't darling. Don't worry though. I could survive with your phone but just give me your password." said the caller.
"Fine but first give me yours," I said.
"It's 'alvarez'. Now give me yours." said the caller.
"It's... I'm not telling you," I said unsure of trusting him.
"Tell me or else I'm not giving back your phone." said the caller calmly.
"Ugh. It is 'garcia'. There I told you," I said without even thinking twice.

A/N:
I'm so sorry that it took so long for me to update. I kind of lost interest when I was halfway but my friend encouraged me to continue. So, shoutout to her and you know who you are.
Also, if anyone wants to send me a cover for the book, I would gladly put it as the cover unless I find a new one. If someone wants to give me a recommendation for the title of the book, I might change it.
I might update sometime either next week or later on. But no promises.
Stay Safe
