This was originally a delicious box of old scrap personal diaries that follow a stranger. Although as the further into the books I became, I had the urge in seeking the rest of it. 

Given this was a time of machines. I had my luck in finding the right souls. A sort of system has scanned, registered and submitted all data into some hidden storage database. 

Apparently 'any alterations were consult with administrator. All data from corresponding subjects was included among the scanned records, sometimes blended into the narrative. Makes for easier storage and reading flow.' I wasn't the only one who fell into the reading then.

Real Author (Kittah): 

This story is not a typical female lead novel, not a lot of romance but coping in a post apocalypse. Which I don't get why female lead novels have to have a element of romance. It starts out as a diary should but further on, things change. The world around was the one we know of now but this story is later set in the unknown future. At times it can feel like I am trying to write a horror novel, but that's not what it is. This really is just a bumpy journey of a female character. 

I must rewrite my disclaimer which is the author note of chapter one. This seems like it relevant to today with the global pandemic. However the inspiration is my personal experience during the swine flu outbreak in the UK around 2012 or 2013. The majority of this story is prewritten but I have been changing it since putting it online. 

And, yes story does spill over into the author notes. You will understand in the later chapters. It's a writer's choose.

System is glad to hear from Kate. System last spoken was 183 days. Host has been through changes.


I am still unable to walk on two feet. 


System has not calibrated sensory modules, needed host adjustments. 


Mmm... that makes sense. What is that noise? It sounds loud and ringing even. Its really annoying. 


No... its not us. There something upstairs on the ground floor. I can hear it. Like a tripped fire alarm. If it is... its going to attract unwanted local creatures here. 


System will cut off power... processing... 


alarm is not part of library circuit or car repaired  before. It is something out of access of system. 


I guess we crawl up to see what it is. Annoying is no half of it. 


Kate had become more nimble and stronger. Made no effort of struggle with double door. Stairs were stable steps. Overall not so wavered in holding self up. 


I feel that way too. I want to test something... Let me see... there a pipe here that is stuck to the wall by screws. Makes a good temporary weapon in case the encounter up here is hostile. 


System likes host logic for weapon seeking. Agrees that loose pipe bellow the suggested host choose is more fitting option. 


The pipe that I wanted to try did become loss from a few tugs but was not freed. The pipe slightly bellow was no problem. The weight of this pipe is lighter and sharp on one end. It will do. I had a few weapons around before... just forget to take them down to the basement. 


System believes it wise to leave weapon at basement door in future... not down in melting zone. 


I will have to ask about what you mean later. For now... beeping. Is annoying.
