chapter 2

As the years passed on, the other six council members had left to more secluded areas around the country as after years of keeping the kingdom out of harms way, the age of peace had finally arrived and no longer needed them. Selenia stayed in power as she couldn't die due to her eternal life. it wasn't until one evening that there seemed to be news from an unexpected guest. As expected Selenia had unfinished paperwork she was doing in her study until the doors in front of her burst open with a man with black hair. "please your majesty, I've come a long way as I need your help. please your the only one who can help me now." Selenia saw the desperation in his eyes and ordered her guards to leave the intruder to her. Although hesitant the guards did as they were told and left the queens study.

"Who are you and why are you looking for me." the young man stayed silent as he was finding it hard to speak due to the overwhelming presence of a murderess aura coming from her. "I suggest you speak now before I kill you myself for wasting my time." Selenia merely stared at the young man as she was now wondering how he knew who she was and that she would be here at this time. "My name is Kenji, I use to be a general that was part of Nashdra Kingdom. When word from the scouts reached the Nashdra kingdom that the Honora Kingdom had been destroyed they began preparing for war against the kingdom of Flora." Selenia didn't believe for even a second as it had been almost been a century since the incident, She found it rather odd as it didn't make much sense. Kage then showed her the symbol of the Nashdra Kingdom and without hesitating she made a long sword out of fire and pointed it at him. "If your one of them, then why come and warn me, what do you hope to gain out of this, answer me this instant!" Selenia was ready to kill him if he made any sudden movements but instead Kenji fell to his knees and begged her to help him as he clung to her gown. "I don't plan on gaining anything, I just don't want my younger sister to get caught up in this. my kingdom will draft anyone, be it men, women or children to fight for them" Selenia started to hesitate as the memories of Serina started to resurface in her mind. "Fine I'll help you stop this war but if my prediction is correct then ill be needing back up. we'll set off when the sun starts to peek tomorrow morning, for now just follow me." Selenia spoke in a cold tone as she started speaking with her maids and the guards. She then lead Kenji into a spare bedroom and then left while closing the door.

Kenji was confused but started looking around when he noticed a new change of clothes on the bed. once he was done changing he looked over at a painting of a young girl around 17 years old with light pink hair and blue colored eyes with a small silver tiara on her head. he found it interesting but soon disregarded the painting as he was tired and hungry. It wasn't until much later that he heard a knock on the door. when he opened the door he saw a maid with a tray of food. Kage couldn't thank the maid enough, but his thoughts lingered on the painting again. "excuse me but who is that woman in the painting?" The maid looked at him and then the painting as she could tell Kenji was very interested. "That woman is First crowned Princess Serina de flor, she was adopted into the royal family by her Majesty after a war from a far off country." as the maid was about to take her leave, but could see that Kenji wanted to know more. " if she is the First Crowned Princess then were is she, I would have seen her here at some point." the maid froze as she quickly closed and locked the door behind her. Kage was confused by the quick change of behavior as she seemed scared and panicked. "I suggest you hold your tongue or else you'll pay the price with your life." after the maids warning Kenji began to eat and then had fallen asleep. As for Selenia, she was wide awake preparing for the long journey ahead of her. She made sure to leave her kingdom in the safe hands of her trusted advisor.

Selenia had know her advisor since he was a child so she trusted him more then anyone. once her business was taken care of Selenia went to bed and called it a night, when she woke up the sun was about to peek. she changed into a short, open back, sleeveless, white dress along with a sleeveless, high collared, dark blue coat with white lining and black boots. once she was done changing she grabbed her bag and headed to her guests room, she slammed the door open and kicked Kenji off the comfy mattress. Kenji was confused until he saw Selenia staring daggers at him. She threw him new clothes and then walked outside to let him change. it didn't take long but Selenia was still pissed off since this great and noble General was wasting her time. "for a General wanting to stop a war between his country and mine, you sure do like to take you time." Kenji could tell she was being sarcastic but didn't want to piss her off any further and quietly followed her outside where two horses were waiting for them. before they left the castle grounds Selenia spoke to her Advisor giving him very clear instructions. " Listen here, I expect that everything be in top shape by the time I return." Selenia then used her magic to create a small little bell and handed it over to him. "Ring it once if you need to talk to me, if its a dire emergency then ring it twice and I'll return as fast as I can. Stay safe Leon and stay out of my room." Selenia gave him a death glare as she said the last part. Leon simply told her not to worry and waved them goodbye as Selenia and Kenji both set off. since she didn't want her citizens to know she was goin out of the kingdom she took the back exit of the castle. once they were outside the city walls, Selenia pulled out a map and quill from her bag and started marking some of the places were she knew some of her comrades were at.
