Chapter Twenty Five

HAILEY'S POV

Adian left me here! If I want his help, I will have to tell him what I'm going through and what his father and nanny Peirce planned for me. I have to speak to him? What can I promise him? Anything he wants, I will promised him anything he wants.

"Hailey? Earth to Hailey" Adana sings jokingly as she throws herself next to me. I have to ask for her help. if I stay here tonight, I will have no other choice but to take my pills.

Adana stares at me confused, "you okay?" he asks.

Looking behind me making sure nanny Peirce isn't within earshot. "I know this will sound weird, but I need your help" I whisper.

Frowning she looks at me with concern, "sure" she also whispers, causing me to smile.

"I need to call your brother, but I don't have his number, can you lend me your phone to call him? Please" I continued whispering.

Nodding, she pulls her phone out of her jeans pocket, unlocks it before handing t to me.

I took it and hugged her, "if she asks, I'm in the washroom" I whisper again. Adana nods with a small smile. definitely concern.

"He's listed under AD" she informs me.

I ran out of the room, into my bedroom and walked unto the terrace, shutting the glass door behind me, as I slid down to the fall.

Scrolling through her contacts to find the initials AD, as Adana said, with a shirtless photo of Adian. Wow, I thought gazing at his physique! He is really handsome. I wonder if meeting at the coffee shop without the marriage arrangement would have brought us together. Now this marriage, separates us.

No turning back! I press dial on his picture, listening as his phone started to ring. On the first ring he answered.

"Chubbs, you okay?" he asks instantly.

Frowning, "why won't she be okay?" I asked softly, peeking to make sure nanny Peirce doesn't come in. I have to beg quickly.

"Where's Chubbs?" he asks.

"Downstairs" I responded.

"Why are you using her phone?" he continue interrogate me.

Gosh all these questions! "She alive and well downstairs. I don't have your number so she lent me her phone and the reason I'm calling is that I want to, no need stay with you for a while. Something is wrong and I don't know what it is. If I stay here tonight I will be forced to start back taking the pills that keeps my memory from coming back and I will forget what they don't want me to remember. I won't be a burden, I promise! I'll buy and cook my own food and sleep on the floor if I have too. please, I need your help" I rambled on without him interrupting me. Is that good or bad.

"Okay! Pack what you need. I'm already on my way" Let Chubbs help you" he said and hung up.

Shocked and happy, I returned to my room locking the terrace doors. Walking back downstairs,

"Adana," I call softly. She turns to me, "come" I say as she follow me back to my room.

I give her back the phone. "Thank you," I said happily. "I'm going to spending a few days with you guys so help me pack" I told her, pulling out a suitcase from my walk-in closet.

"You select what you need and I'll pack," Adana volunteered.

Between the both of us I added extra working clothes and sleepwear.

I put all of my important documents into a plastic bag with all my different bank cards and stuck them into a larger handbag, quickly adding my medication. I then stuffed my handbag into the suitcase.

When I was done, Adana helped me by taking my luggage downstairs including the first bag I packed.

Now to inform nanny Peirce!

"Hailey? What's going on? You're leaving?" she asks nervously.

"Oh Mrs. Pierre, her husband wants her to spend a few days with us" Adana answered her, explaining my luggage.

"You're taking a lot with you" nanny Peirce observed.

"It's not a lot, actually I have work wear, casual and sleepwear. So it's not a lot" I told her wanting to be out of here already.

The ringing of the doorbell saved me. from having to be third degree by nanny Peirce. I love her and I know she truly loves me, but I need answers that she also kept hidden from me. I have to leave to find my way!

Nanny Peirce, opened the front door, returning with Adian following slowly behind her. His eyes found mines, causing him to stop and stare at me with a questioning look trying to read me.

I suddenly felt awkward, shifting from one foot to the other, with our eyes still locked on each other.

I can trust him, I have to trust him! "you all packed?" he asks quietly.

"Oh aren't you all eating before you leave?" nanny Peirce asks, nervously.

"I'm sorry! Maybe another time, because I have an appointment" Adian apologize explaining his reason.

"Oh, oh! don't forget the tickets" Adana exclaimed, clapping her hands.

It was the first time, a genuine smile sweep across Adian's face. He turns to her, then to me, raising his eyebrows.

Smiling with him as we both turned to an excited Adana, "it's the first thing I packed." I said, causing her to leap across to give a tight hug!

"You're the best!" she says as she let's me go, starting to gather my luggage. "Let's go! Chop, chop!" she says in a demanding tone.

Chuckling, "yes, let's!" Adian responds, picking up the suitcase, ruffling her hair as pass her.

"Hey" Adana squeals, swatting his hand away.

I went up to nanny Peirce, looking into her sad eyes, "I love you and I'll be back before you know it" I said reaching across putting my arms around her as she caresses my back.

As we pull apart, I saw Adana looking at us with a goofy smile and Adian with an tight smile and an unreadable expression in his eyes.

"Remember to take your medication" nanny Peirce admonishes me.

With a small smile, I gaze into the slightly wrinkle face of the woman whose been my mother and my father since I was five.

if the medication wasn't being forced on me, I won't be leaving.

"It was the last item I packed so, it's to the top of my bag" I said sadly, pecking her on the cheek, turning to the front door before I start crying.
