One Hundred and Nineteen - Sister-in-laws Back

Adian stares at me, with tense shoulders, I know that he's angry.

"Couldn't you have at least call to say that you're making a stop? No actually two stops before coming home?" Adian suddenly open his verbal attack.

I silently stood in front of him, unable to respond to his question. We only communicate when we're together and never know what's going in with each other when we're apart.

"It works both ways you know" I retorted because of Gerard, he always know where I am, but me?

If he's upset, then he can go wherever he's going and as usual, it's none of my business.

I picked up my handbag and shoes, to walk away.

While walking up the steps, realizing he's not coming after me.

This relationship thing is a first time for me and I've fallen in love with Adian.

He's been in a committed relationship before so he knows the rules. The least he could do is show me that caring is not being clingy.

Sitting on the bed, with my phone, I contemplated sending him a message when my phone started ringing.

"Nanny Pierce* I answered quickly, hoping that Amelia and her sidekick is gone.

" Hailey, please be careful" nanny Pierce retorted quickly, in a hushed tone. "Don't keep those files in your apartment, because she's sending her daughter Adana to stay with you until she locates the files." Nanny Pierce breathes a sigh of relief when she's finish warning me.

I heard her and was surprise. Maybe Adian is heading to pick up Adana and he's not saying anything or maybe he doesn't know.

*Are you okay?" I asked instead, already wondering how to get the files out of here before Adian returns.

"I'm fine Hailey, but she thinks you have the files and that you took it when you left that first time. I'm leaving in the tomorrow to return to my daughter's home, but those files will help you find answers about your past," nanny Pierce continues.

This is the first time she's communicating with me this much on any level!

"Thank you nanny Pierce, I love you too and I'm sorry I left but, I still believe, I made the right choice." I said, wishing I had reached out earlier.

"You're working tomorrow? Maybe I can meet you?" she asks softly.

Smiling to myself, because I got my nanny Pierce back.

"I'd love that, thank you!" I admitted for the first time. "We never did get to celebrate my last birthday" I admitted.

Laughing softly, "No we didn't and I still have a gift for you" she adds. increasing my happiness.

"Okay, well I'll collect it tomorrow then" I said because I need to move the files and contact Mr. Knox.

"Take care sweet Hailey!" nanny Pierce says before hanging up.

Smiling to myself, because nanny Pierce is safe, unlike me. I spun around and saw my husband clad in all black, hovering in the doorway.

Dismissing his anger towards me, I rushed into him wrapping my arms around his torso. He didn't hug me instantly, but I didn't care, because at least he's here.

"I'm sorry" I whispered against his chest, when I felt myself being drawn into a tight hug.

"I'm going to parents, to bring Chubbs here" he says cautiously, maybe awaiting my approval?

Lifting my head, I gaze into his dark troubled eyes and smiled, thanking God that nanny Pierce had already warned me.

Nodding, "okay, that'll be great" I admitted, and by his wide eye expression, I know he's surprise.

"You don't have a problem with her returning?" again, Adian waits cautiously for my answer.

Shaking my head, "inspite of her views about me, she's you sister and I like her." I told him, but he still seemed worried.

"Would you be back for dinner?" I ask, looking away from him, hoping he'll say yes.

Chuckling, he nods and I look up to see his dark blue eyes, have gotten lighter and instead a spark of life has emerged again.

Remembering, his mother and ex will also be there.

"Can you take Basil with you and Gerard can return to stay with us until guys return?" I asked nervously.

Drawing me back into his arms, "I don't trust them either and I am skeptical about Chubbs wanting to return here" Adian softly admits, above my head.

"I'm afraid too, but she's your sister" I reminded him, hoping I making the right decision. Adian was already on his way out to pick her up and I refuse to be the one to keep them apart.

But, "I promised you, I will not allow her to come between us. Also other than your parents, that bitch is not allowed here either." I lifted my head allowing him to see that I'm deadly serious.

Lifted my chin, with his index finger, Adian crashed his lips on mines and I'm so desperate to feel his touch that I allowed him to deepened the kiss.

Still standing in front of the doorway, Adian pushed me against the door, my back, I'm sure will register bruises, but I don't care.

I missed him.

"Get a room! Geez," Basil chuckles as he and Mel walked past us, on their way down.

Pulling away from me, leaving me unsatisfied, Adian calls Basil.

"Hey Bas, I heading to my parents to bring Chubbs here and wifey here," Adian slaps my ass an chuckles, "decides that I need a chaperone."

Basil didn't hide his surprise very well and turned to me, "you're okay with that?" he asks me first.

Smiling, I nodded, "yeah, it's good!" I responded quietly.

I didn't miss the looks exchanged between Basil and Adian, leaving me with the impression, that Adian isn't happy about his sister's visit!

"Right, call Gerard" Adian instructs Basil, who immediately pulls out his phone walking downstairs.

"Now where were we?" Adian laughs, backing me against the door.

After devouring me for a few seconds, we went downstairs.
