Adian hasn't called, but message from Mel confirmed that he and Basil returned home awhile ago. She also mentioned that a bit of drama unfolded, between Adian and Adana.
I'm searching these files so far, but I have no idea what I'm looking for. I'm reading my therapist and all I'm seeing, are my conversations with her.
Every time I shared my nightmares with her, she tells me at the end of every session that I'm remembering a movie.
Nanny Pierce never allowed me to look at anything other than comedy and romance. Actions and thrillers were out.
She made my feelings unimportant, as if I'm looking for attention. Scoffing at this woman who was also Amelia's puppet. At the end of the day, Amelia was the person pulling all my strings.
Scoffing again, at her biggest mistake, allowing me to enter college. She flew her f***king therapist once every week for four f***ing years to prove me mad? To do what? Take control of my shares of the business?
Flinging a file, I already used across the room, chuckling to myself, she's going to be mortified, when she hears that I, me, Hailey Sullivan Knights, own the entire company and together with her son, I hold more than half percent of The Knights Foundation!
Angrily, I continued flinging the files I read, watching as the papers, flew in the air.
The door flung open and my angry husband, barges in, looking up, down and around at the papers, lying scattered on the floor.
"What the f**k!" He exclaimed, as Mel, Basil and Gerard follows him inside.
Basil walks in, whistling and like Adian, looks around.
"Impressive Hails" he chuckles, only to laugh out loud from the glare my husband threw in his direction. Ignoring Adian, "now this" he chuckles spinning around the office, "is how a real boss does it!" He laughs as Mel slaps his shoulder and I couldn't help but join him, laughing at Mel's, Gerard and mostly Adian's angry look.
"Now what the f**k blew up in here and just so you know, I'm not cleaning this mess up!" Caleb, points a warning finger at me, before storming back out the door!
Kicking the papers, walking towards my desk, his eyes dark and unreadable, "what the f**k is all this and why is this office in this f**king condition?" Adian throws his hand behind his back indicating the mess on the floor.
I stood up on bare feet, watching him tower over me. Lifting my head, determined that no Knights will ever back me in a corner, ever again.
"First of all, Mr. Knights, this is my office and I can do as I please, especially, since, I am more than capable of cleaning it up and secondly, don't you" I point am accusing index finger at him, "dare ask me what is wrong or what is bothering me, because the moment, I share and explain something that's bothering me, what did you do?" Without going into details, I walked around my desk to assist Mel and the guys to clean up the mess.
I bent down and started picking up papers, my mind still on what I read that raised more questions.
"I'm sorry!" Adian says quietly behind me and I slowly stood up, unaware that everyone left, leaving Adian and I alone.
My eyes soften, and I smiled meeting Adian's eyes full of love and a smirk that almost blew the wind out of my chest!
With the papers in my hand, I walked over to where he still stood, staring down at my much shorter frame.
Smiling happily, I shook my head, "I love you" I simply said, unable to add anything to his apology and a smile like the one, he still wore.
Adian. pulled me into his arms, hugging me fiercely. "Thank you for not running" he whispers over my head and I nod.
Standing hugging and kissing, before he loosens his grip on me, sitting on my desk, his arms wrapping and hanging loosely on my hip.
Slapping my butt gently, "you don't bend, when your clothes are this short" he chuckles and I blush, forgetting about my clothes when I went to pick up the scattered papers.
Resting his head on my chest, his lips roaming over my exposed breast.
Giggling at the tickling sensation, "you know we're going to be interrupted very soon, right?" My breathing beginning to get heavier as Adian starts assaulting my throat.
Reluctantly pulling away, I neatened the papers in my hand.
"What's this?" He takes the papers from me, head bent, eyes raised, watching me quizzically.
"What your mother sent your sister to your home to search for" I said hesitantly, sighing, watching him stare at the pages. "Nanny Pierce give it to me unknowing to your mother." I continued, needing to share what I believe so far, if he gets angry, then so be it. "I believe, she wants to use this to have me declared medically unfit to take the company away from me and have me committed to the asylum." I turned away, upset, but Adian pulled me into his arms.
"Hey, hey!" he stops me, "I'm not going to allow her to hurt you" he says gently, caressing my head and back.
"Hailey, I've found out something, after you shared some things with me, but because the doctor says you're emotionally fragile, I can only wait until you remember." Adian surprises me with this information.
'I'm not crazy you know" I defended my mental stability instantly.
Chuckling, "oh I believe you" he assures me.
Moving out of his arms, "I was reading through these," I indicate the papers and those still on the floor. "The therapist, she ended all of my sessions, insinuating that it's all in my head." I shook my head in disbelief, anger rising again. "Everything! My mother, and every single memory." I flung my hands in the air in frustration.
