Chapter 16

A couple days later from the death of River, everything was slowly getting better.

Breeze and Crystal could have minor conversations but it would always end with them arguing.

Breeze could finally laugh again and everyone almost forgot that they had lost a battle.

Crystal sat next to a campfire far away from everyone.She wanted to avoid as many people as possible.

Breeze and Ash both kept a close eye on her.

Crystal felt something fall onto her leg. "Ow!!"

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Said a boy.

Crystal didn't recognize him. He had black hair with dark blue bangs. His eyes were a hazelnut brown. He wore armour that covered his whole body. Next to him was a helmet with a light blue X on it.

"What the heck?" Crystal said. "How did you get here."

"I'm still trying to figure that out myself." The stranger said.

The boy was starting to gain attention from the other mages.

"I should introduce myself, my name is Cal, Cal Suzuki." The boy said.

���Nice to meet you, Cal." Crystal said. "What realm are you from?"

"I'm not sure, I was fighting the Cyber Assassin when I was sucked into a portal and ended up here."

"What are you if you aren't from here?" Crystal asked.

"I'm human, like you, unless you're an alien race that looks like humans." Cal said.

"We're half human, but we call ourselves mages."

"That's neat, I can tell by your face that you were just in a battle and suffered major casualties."

"Hey, don't change the subject!" Crystal said.

"Sorry, I have a habit of doing that." Cal laughed.

"What's with the fancy outfit?" Crystal asked."

Cal smiled like he wanted her to ask him that. "In my world, I'm known as the Scarlet Viper, I'm the hero of Tokyo Japan."

Crystal laughed. "That's stupid."

"What's so stupid about it?" Cal asked.

"The fact that you're like a full blown hero and your only, how old are you?"

"I'm fourteen." Cal whispered.

Breeze and Ash were both very confused, They both sat down next to Cal.

"Do we know who this is?" Ash asked.

"This is Cal." Crystal said.

"I like the armour, what's it made of?" Breeze asked.

"Granium, not that you would know what that is." Cal laughed.

Ash and Cal both talked about their life problems.

For somebody as perfect as Cal, he seemed to have a lot of flaws.

"So, how many people have you killed then?" Ash asked.

"I've killed three hundred twenty nine people." Cal said enthusiastically.

"Wow, not many people here can say that they've done that." Ash said surprised.

"Well, in my world that's not a good thing." Cal said.

"So Cal, I want to know how you fight without magical abilities, nobody can do that." Bliss asked.

Ash nudged him.

"Except for Ash." Bliss chuckled.

"Well, um what's your name?" Cal asked.

"Bliss."

"Isn't that a girl's name?" Cal asked.

Bliss earlobes went red.

Breeze laughed.

"Now you're really asking for a beating." Bliss cracked his knuckles.

"After you." Cal said with a smirk.

Bliss and Cal walked to a large opening where nobody was around.

Bliss dug his foot into the ground. "You're going down."

Cal placed his finger on his watch, (And side note, Crystal didn't know what that was). A blue glow erupted from the watch and Cal was enveloped in a bright glow.

He reappeared in shining grey armour. His face was covered by a helmet with an X that was slightly a transparent turquoise. Cal grabbed two katanas that were strapped to his back. "I don't think so."

They charged towards each other.

Bliss shot two purple spikes towards Cal.

Cal rolled aside with ease. "Come on Bliss, you can do better."

Bliss made a sword appear in his hands. "He raised it and charged towards Cal.

Cal drew his katanas and rushed at Bliss dragging the katanas behind him.

Bliss and Cal's weapons clashed.

Cal moved so fast it was hard for Bliss to keep up.

"Strike him down Bliss!" Breeze screamed.

Bliss jumped backwards and shot a blast of fire.

Ash gasped. "What!"

Bliss then made a geyser of water erupt from the ground.

Cal was thrown into the air.

Bliss made a gust of wind make Cal fly towards Crystal.

Crystal reached to catch him but Cal landed on his feet.

Breeze's jaw dropped. "Wha-"

Crystal and Ash were speechless.

Cal threw one of his katanas at Bliss.

Bliss created a purple bubble that deflected it.

"Crap." Cal said under his breath.

Bliss dropped to the floor. "Ok, you win." He said. He was too tired to continue.

Cal put his katanas back into their sheaths and the armour disintegrated.

Crystal was amazed at Cal's skills. Maybe he was the key to stopping all of this. He could easily defeat the Governess. But, was it worth risking everything to trust him?

Breeze patted Cal on the back. "You were great!" She said.

Cal blushed. "Well, I was trained to be a weapon of death, I was taught to never underestimate anyone or anything."

"Sounds like your new friend is quite the warrior." Sky said with a frown.

Cal winced. "Hey there." He said quietly.

"Men, take this portal dweller away." Sky commanded.

"Commander Sky, what are you doing?" Ash asked.

"Lieutenant, this is a portal dweller, they're dangerous." Sky said.

"I swear, I'm not a portal dweller, or whatever the hell that is." Cal screamed.

Sky and the other mages carried Cal away.

"We need to stop them!" Breeze said.

Ash couldn't help it, he chuckled a little.

Breeze gave him a dirty look, "What's so funny?"

"The fact you just met this kid and now you turn pink whenever he's around you." Ash laughed.

Breeze's ears turned red. "I do not."

"Don't deny it Breeze." Bliss said.

Crystal could hear Cal's screams.

Breeze flew up into the air and chased after them. "Let him go!!"

��Aw, Breeze has a crush." Bliss said when Breeze was far enough away.

"I heard that!" Breeze shouted.
