82. Temple Of Fate

(A/N: Yo, my n-word. Rejoice, for I have come back from my break to continue writing the novel. Though, I was getting pretty lazy, when not writing it. Also, I am going to post a video on my channel about how strong Fuinjutsu can be, if used properly. In a couple of days, coming out.)

Me and Kratos were suddenly embedded through a thick layer of hard soil. While going up, the place rumbled and parted like a sea of dirt. It took a while for Atlas to actually insert his hand through the massive sphere of Dirt, he was carrying on his shoulders.

When me and Kratos opened our eyes. We could see a white temple with pillars and organised corridors. The temple had a massive area surrounding it like a town. The town like area was deserted with monsters fully occupying it.

"Well, this temple is smaller than my mansion". I said while looking around. Kratos on the side had his eyebrows twitch. Probably, not expecting such narcissistic words right now.

"This is the Temple of Fate. The monsters here are not the run of the mill monster that we have been killing. They are the guardians of the temple. So they are quite strong, don't underestimate them". Kratos warned with his usual talk no nonsense attitude.

"Do you Gods not like luxury or what. This place is rundown and it looks it never advanced from the ancient times. Can't you like use the new technology the world has created. Your lives would be so much easier". I said while looking around the inconvenient place that is this temple. Using all those ancient things. Either, they are uneducated or just don't want to follow the trend.

"Hmph". Kratos just harrumphed at me, probably a little embarrassed from my words. I mean these Gods are pretty stuck up.

Without saying anything, Kratos started walking towards the temple of Fate. I quickly followed after, not mining the silence that we currently had. We had our rest, now all that left was to kick ass.

The first obstacles was a flock of burning souls. I can bet my tail, this is not a normal fire. And would you have it, it can actually burn me if I touch it. I punched a BS(Burning Soul) and it actually burned my hand a little. The BS is strong in this one.

The BS were coming tides. It was like a tsunami of BS that was being thrown on us and we had to fight our way through that BS without letting it touch us. It burns pretty severely and is quite painful. Kratos was just using his blades. The chaos fire on his blades is stronger than the flames of BS.

*Boom*

I punched another BS with my hands clad in Ki gauntlets. I was relieving stress with punching. Staying here with a grumpy old man was getting to me and I didn't want to go mad. Oh my Momo, NEjire,Toru, Bulma and even Tio, please help me keep sane.

While chanting in my head, I kept punching and punching my way through the tide of BS. After a an hour, we were out of the BS and were looking at flock of Harpies. The Harpies were high above and looked like a raging inferno with their feathers on fire and all.

I guess the main theme of this temple is fire. The fire that corrodes and damages anything it touches. There were pillars of fire, here and there. Like someone was stupid enough to touch them. Just then a Harpie dived down and collided straight with the pillar. Okay, I take back my statement.

There are plenty of stupid thing out here. I just placed a hand on my head and sighed, seeing this. This was a long day. Oh, the melancholy.

Not wanting to stay in a disadvantaged position, I grew Ki wings and felt right in the home turf of the Harpies. Never the opponent, the high Ground. The first rule of FPS. Getting in between them, I started firing Ki bombs at them, again and again.

While I was causing menace and shockwaves in the sky. On the Ground, Kratos was using his Blades to slice and dice some good ol Harpies. Any that got too near would be torn apart with bare hands.

Quickly finishing up with the Harpies, we continued on our journey leisurely, not. This thing was getting quite hectic as next we encountered Centaurs. Yeah, the half human-half horse guys. They were laid in armour with some holding shields, swords, spears and some at the back getting their bows and magic ready.

This one will have to be fought up, close and personal. They even had some cyclopes on the front as meat shields to tank hits. I quickly bypassed the cyclopes, who were trying to stop and hit me. Getting into the ranks of the Centaurs, I started wrecking havoc.

A guy swung his spear at me, I ducked below the swing and punched between the front legs. Causing the Centaur to lose balance and fall. Tilting my head left, a sword came from the right side of my head. I spin kicked the guy behind and extended a Ki blade from my foot. Incapacitating him as my foot hit his stomach.

Just then an Arrow came flying towards me, I cut the arrow with a Ki blade on my hand. I rolled away as a volley of magic also hit the same place. I quickly got up and Cut the legs of a Centaur close to me.

"Regroup". Probably feeling the ease in my movements and the danger they felt from me. The commander gave the command to regroup. quickly looked at the commander and used a Death Beam in his way. He erected his shield in front to block the incoming beam. To my surprise, the shield easily blocked my attack.

The Centaurs quickly regrouped, while some stayed to keep me occupied and preventing me from interfering. I still sent some Ki bombs from time to time but it wasn't very effective against their shield. They actually took a triangular formation. With shield bearers on the outside. Right behind them with spear-wielders and Magic and bow guys in the middle.
