Chapter 15- A Single Letter

--Alexandria POV--

"Good morning, miss Alexia,"

"Good morning," I replied to the postman with a warm smile, taking the letters addressed to me from his gloved hands.

"Have a nice day," Closing the door, I walked back to the kitchen and sat down on the stool behind the island as Ryder squawked and landed on the seat beside mine.

"I received some letters," I replied to him, going through the said letters.

Picking my teacup up, I sipped on my green tea but paused when I stopped on a familiar name on one of the letters.

"This one is from Alpheus. I haven't heard from him in some time," Mumbling, I ripped the letter up and put my tea down before I began scanning over the words.

The ends of my lips slowly began to curve down into a disbelieving frown, becoming more and more evident with each word of the letter that I read. Ryder himself began squawking and pestering me to tell him what this letter was about.
