Chapter 31- A Broken Fantasy

--Alexandria POV--

"Ryder, leave the poor squirrel alone!" I shouted at my best friend, hands on my waist as I glared at the said eagle. He squawked in my face before flying away and I huffed at his silhouette, he's going through something.

"What are you shouting about so early in the morning?" I turned to look at Tobias as he walked towards me, arms stretched out as he yawned.

"Oh please, my shouts are but a quiet whisper compared to the rest of the palace. I woke up thinking we were in the middle of a warzone," I rolled my eyes at the memory.

"Well, Valentino's birthday ball is tomorrow so everyone's panicking. Unlike Eleanora's ball, there will be more guests this time from different Kingdom's too and there will be a Charity event later in the evening,"

I hummed at that as he stood beside me and we both simply admired nature.

"I heard you got him something for his birthday?" Tobias asked.

"How do you know?" I asked.
