--Alexandria POV--
It was all in a frenzy, everyone running to restrain Alpheus and getting rid of the gun while Nico and Val sat by my side, applying pressure to Silas's wounds.
I pulled his head onto my knees as I ran my fingers through his hair, pulling his face towards my stomach as I cradled him in my arms and cried, screamed and begged.
"Why would you do that!? What were you thinking!?" I shouted.
"I wasn't thinking," He chuckled as if this were funny.
"You're going to be okay. You're going to be okay," I tried to convince myself more than him.
"I-I'm sorry," I heard him whisper out as he flinched in pain.
"No. Don't be sorry. Please, I can't lose you too," I brokenly begged, stroking his face as he smiled at me, holding my hand in his.
"Better me than you," He tried to laugh jokingly and if he weren't injured then I surely would have hit him. "Stop talking. You have to save your breath," Nico instructed in a broken voice.
