Superhero

Funny accidents kept happening all over the day.

One time, it's Jane tripping and falling over the carpet and then it's me accidentally tooting when I sat on the couch. The whole day was a big joke as series of unfortunate, hilarious scenes took place.

Currently, we are rolling on the floor, laugh similar to grizzly bears, because I spilt a whole glass of burning hot chocolate on my hips. I've potentially scarred my baby maker, but the scorching heat quickly died down when I used my own powers to blow chilly air on my lower torso.

"I'm s-so sorr-y for laughing R-Ron." I shook my head whilst wheezing like a goose, our laughter not seeming to die down any faster.

After like a couple of minutes, we sit straight facing each other and Jane stands up with wobbly legs to sit on the couch. Suddenly, the gravity seemed to love Jane too much to call her back on the ground.

She sat cross-legged on the couch, she maintained the position all through her mighty fall and sat cross-legged again on the floor.

Her shocked state and my quick burst of laughter were very contrasting, until she joined me and we were rolling on the floor, clutching on our poor stomachs, again.

It's just safe if we take a nap right now.

The crisp evening air blew through the vast windows which potentially arose me from my small slumber. Jane is laying her head on my chest and being a graceful princess she is.

My heart eyes turn dull when the familiar ringtone of my mobile was heard.

Who the hell dared to disturb me from admiring my princess??

I annoyingly grab the device and answer it without looking at their ID.

"What the hell do you want??" I seethe on the person on the other side of the line.

"Cut your attitude down and look at the news, jackass."

It was Daniel...

Before beforehand apologies or say anything, he cut the phone call and all I heard was a beeping sound.

The news...did he say?

I quickly search for the remote and summon it through the air and it lands on my palm. I switch the TV on and search for the news channel.

"BREAKING NEWS: A FIRE ACCIDENT STRUCK THE FAMOUS HOTEL CANSHIRE OF THE UPTOWN CITY AREA AND IS SCORCHING TO TAKE THE MANY LIVES OF THE POOR PEOPLE WHO ARE TRAPPED IN THE LARGE BUILDING. THE FIREFIGHTERS AND THE POLICE ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO AID THE SITUATION BUT WE'RE ALL AFRAID IT MIGHT GET TOO LATE TO EVEN CROSS THE HUGE COMPOUND WALL WHICH HAD FALLEN ON THE INSIDE. ALL WE CAN DO IS PRAY FOR THE LIVES TO BE SAFE. OUR MYSTERIOUS HERO...WHERE ARE YOU...?"

That's my call to attend.

It barely took me a few seconds to disappear from the hotel suite we were staying at to transport myself to the city centre. The huge waft of smoke rising high up in the air made me panic as I look up at the clouds.

An idea...

I gather the heavy clouds, dense upon the area above the building and squeeze the clouds with all my might.

The white clouds darken immediately and cold droplets of part-artificial rain fall on the area. Keeping the pressure on the huge clouds steady, I zoom into the area of the phenomenon now, the huge water droplets making it difficult for me to see through things once I land on the ground.

I start to summon the roots from underground, locating each and every person on the ground level and securing them under the roots tight and knit around their bodies. I try my best to do the same for the people on the second level too, but it's becoming a bit impossible to cover the people with tough roots who are on the third level and higher.

This is very challenging to me, as I've never encountered an event anything like this before.

I blow gushes of water droplets clad wind to the first and seconds floor, putting off the flames to the most part.

There are more three levels on this building, and I'm beginning to drain out on my energy...

No. No! You can do this Ron. Have some faith in yourself.

Yes. I can do it.

I just hope I'm not too late...

I scream in agony as my muscles put in a lot of strain to raise the roots from a over the ground to more three levels above, not to forget that I'm putting on a lot of pressure onto the now shrinking clouds above us.

"Come on!!" I yell, hoping the roots grow faster and cover each and every person on the levels and I could summon my wind and water powers to strike off the fires.

I lift my hands in angles to gush the air into every nook and crook of the hotel. And I've succeeded.

The fires die down and hot steam is pushed out immediately with another blow of a huge chunk of cool breeze.

I retrieve the roots back to the ground, uncovering the many people from under it. The roots seep back into the ground and I find myself faltering in the air too.

But before I could go back to Jane, I lastly shatter the compound walls of the hotel to et the paramedic and help come and get the petrified people inside.

I wish I could get them all out myself, but I'm in no stable position to even carry myself anymore.

Using the last bit of my energy, I skim back through the air and enter the suite through the window.

All I saw before I passed out was the tear-streaked, worried face of Jane who turns around to see me falling to the ground.
