The high amounts of energy consumption is taking a toll on my physical health.
My perfectly immune body is now facing a high fever all of a sudden and honestly, it sucks.
I'm mentally ripped apart because these days were supposed to be filled with happy memories and basically everything good. But I always manage to sadden or worry Jane all the time.
I look at Jane who is walking back and forth into the bathroom and the bedroom to aid me back to health. Her worrying is justified, but me being the cause is not.
I hate it. I hate being the cause if someone's unhappiness.
Unknown to me, a hot trail of tear cascades down my cheek purely out of frustration.
"Ron?? Hey, baby, why are you crying??" My tear filled eyes look at Jane who rushes inside with another bowl of hot water and a hand towel.
"I'm so sorry..." I mutter but my mate reads my lips.
Her soft hands cup my cheeks delicately, the warmth of her hands melting me away from love and tenderness.
"Why are you sorry baby? Hmm..?" her hands encircle my shoulders and my head rests comfortably on her stomach, despite my awkward turn in my waist as I sat on the bed.
"This...this was supposed to be 'us' time...I spoiled it for us. I always do..."
"What do you think this is...?"
Her answer takes me aback, I'm startled.
"Huh...?" My eyes are innocent, as it seems which melts Jane's heart. Her lips tenderly plant a kiss atop my forehead carefully. Her fingers stroke my hair and I can feel the electric shocks run through my scalp and down my spine at the contact of her fingertips to my baseline.
"Oh honey bear..." I noticed she copied my comfort words.
"This means everything to me, Ronald. These times...you're preparing me for the future. You don't know how much I love to learn all the new things about you. Yes, of course I agree with you that this was supposed to filled with happy memories of us but don't you think our relationship is far, far away from perfect?" her wise words make my eyes bulge out of my sockets, my jaw falling off from my face.
"You, an elemental, are doing a great deed for the people, Ron. I'm so, so proud of you that I can't put them in words. I love you, and I know you love me too, and that's what that matters right now. So let's make memories...good or bad because you'll forever be there by my side, my love."
What a wonderful, feverish afternoon...
—
The happiness which seeped through me after Jane said those lovely words to me, had my fever flush off in less than a day. I loved how Jane was so thoughtful, so concerned and caring and I find myself to be the luckiest man on earth all over again.
I keep grinning stupidly as I hum a random tune on my own as the morning falls. It's barely six in the morning, but I've been awake since sunrise. The grin was growing bigger and bigger because Jane feels so very perfect in my arms that my heart goes utterly stupid at the simple thing.
My grin eventually turns into a small chuckle and my lips plant a loving kiss on the sleeping beauty's crown of her head. My hand strokes her hand non stop, but unfortunately my chuckle sounded too high-pitched for my sleeping beauty. Her eyes flutter open and meet mine directly.
My grin is still stupid, for a reason I can't stop. My heartbeat quickens when her own smile grows smoothly in the canvas of her moon like face. Her eyes crinkle the emotions I have, almost reflecting back to me.
Oh, I know she loves me too...
"Good morning, beaut."
"Good morning, handsome." she says and giggles before kissing the tip of my nose. I find the gesture endearing and pull her close, mumbling against her hair.
"You're so soft and cuddly~"
"You too..." her voice is muffled against my shirt on my chest. I, feeling very goofy and stupid this morning, shake and squeeze her till my hearts content, eliciting a whine from her.
"You're so weird today!" she exclaims, stretching whilst still in my embrace.
"I don't know, I feel nice today hehe." she giggles later too and taps my arm to let her go. She wears her slippers and enters the bathroom, leaving me all lonely and cold in the sheets.
I follow my daily routine and on the TV, switching directly to the news channel to encounter any breaking news. The day seems quiet today, political and other news running for awhile and switching to info commercials then and there.
After half an hour, Jane reenters the bedroom with a towel around her body. I gaze naughtily at her until she feels me, and turns around quickly.
"Whoa Ron! Stop staring at me!"
"Can't quite help myself there, honey." I say and spread my arms over the headboard behind me, looking pretty boyish and rowdy.
"Well then, I'll you out." she lifted her tiny fist up in the air, a warning sign that she's going to bust my cheek if I don't look away.
"Alright, Princess~" I just say the words but my eyes keep dancing back and forth from the wall beside me and Jane's shadow casting on the glass door of the dressing room.
"Done." she says and comes out in a fresh pair of pajamas.
We have no travelling plans for today.
"Hey babe."
"Yeah?" she answers.
"Wanna join me in the shower?" I ask with a stupid face. Her small fist rises in the air again and I give her a kiss on the lips despite her protests against my morning breath.
"Ew Ron! You stinky creature! Go take a shower or I will—"
"You will what?" I challenge her, grinning inside at her reddened cheeks and showing off a sly smile on the outside for her.
"I will- I will... KICK YOU!" she threatens me in the cutest way possible, her finger pointing shakily down towards the between of my legs.
"Aw you don't wanna kick the baby maker, do you baby girl??"
Oh no...
Wrong move, genius.
Never, ever challenge a Princess.
I scream when Jane finds it amusing whilst twisting my poor nipples...
