Caught.

"Ronald. I know you're here."

Shoot.

Well, there's no way I can escape this. He has already confirmed my presence in HIS room.

"What are you doing here?" he doesn't faze, the question bouncing off my back which faces him. I'm back with my human form and face the wall instead, glaring at the photo frame which entraces the beauty of my Jane, the younger form of herself featuring behind the glass on the glossy paper.

"Nothing. Just remembering how to invite a guest. Make them really 'comfortable'." I slowly turn back with a smile on my face. His eyebrows crashes together which is amusing to me, and I try to irk him more. I don't exactly know why, but I tend to go with the flow of course.

I mimic his actions by folding my arms over my chest, glaring back at him until he takes one dangerous step towards me.

There's this incredible agony that shoots through the sides of my head, my brain willing to explode all of a sudden. He doe notice this, and I don't miss catching a glimpse of that damned smirk on his ugly face.

"Feeling glee, Mr. Hero?"

"W-what are you doing to m-me?" My knees give up on me, my body thrashing to the floor with a loud thump. My ears are ringing as he inches closer to my fallen body.

"STEP AWAY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME!??"

Why the hell can I not access my powers when I need them the most??

As best as I could, I summoned my powers but I could only feel my skin breaking and getting hot. My wolf is responding to me, but it is glitching like a darn circuit. I clutch my head and scream helplessly, angry tears falling from my eyes.

"Sleep well."

"NO!"

I'm put in a trance.

Darkness at its highest and body numb to everything around me.

When I wake up, everything around me is spinning until I sense my mate's scent lingering in the room. The sweet smell of tangerine and roses and all exquisite to my wolf who had just woken up along with me. As if on queue, the door bursts open and the worried princess scoots over to pull my slumped form into a tight embrace.

"How are you feeling?" Is her first question of concern which makes me feel loved in this confusing, cruel world.

"I feel...okay. Thank you." I say and kiss the crown of her head as she lays on my chest, like a kitten, her handbag forgotten and unattended as it scowls at me from the couch. My imagination eventually escalates pretty quickly and there is this one question lingering in my mind. A frown immediately takes over my facade at the reminder I gave to myself.

I have to solve this. Whatever it is, I can't let him get away with his nuisance and foul plays. Gerald is in for major embarrassments and cruel gratifications.

"Jane, could you please let Gerald in?"

"Oh. Right. Don't forget to say thank you to him." she smiles.

What the actual hell??

As soon as I feel his presence in the hospital cabin, I glare at his sickening face. Snarling my teeth at him like a beast, and I do not certainly give a damn that I'm supposedly in a rather calm environment. Peace was to be maintained but I think I might outdo the rule today if he is in my senses any longer.

"Whoa the elemental is mad! Should I run for my life? Oh my lord I'm so frightened!" Mockery was at its lowest as he failed his arms like a chicken's lose wings. That is what he is. A chicken. A headless chicken.

"What the hell are you?" I seethe again, a headache beginning to appear but I swiftly transform into my elemental form before I lose control over my own senses, like what happened earlier.

My body levitates in the air above the bed and now that I am in full control of the situation, I enjoy the slight glint of fear flashes in his brown orbs. As if he realizes the situation, he covers up his fear facade with a scoff and turns on his heel to leave.

My headache graduates down slowly, just as he begins to walk away from the room alloted.

"What the hell is he...?" So many questions arise in my mind that makes me develop a non magical, physical headache. Is he some sort of a wizard that this world has not known about? Is he even a wolf?

I lay back on the mattress and fold my arm over my head, diving into a deep thought until a knock disrupts me from my activity.

I immediately sense my mate standing outside, letting out a little "come in," she barges in with a frown that arouses one of my own on my face.

"What's with the frow—" none that I had even completed my sentence, she is already snarling ungracefully and cutting me off mid sentence.

"What did he ever do to you?"

What...?

I stand baffled and confused to her expressions and expect her to continue, or enlighten about the situation that I'm not quite well aware of.

"Why does Gerald have a hand print on his cheek?"

Seriously?

"He might've hit himself to accuse me, that low life." I put my shoes on hastily and clench my jaw repeatedly, in anger and frustration.

What does he even have on me??

"STOP ALL AT ONCE FOR GOD'S SAKE!" I am pushed backwards with her little force, but it was her tone of voice and who she was supporting which broke my heart and tough demeanor all at once.

"Jane...?" Again, this is not my Jane. She is some else. Someone had possessed my princess...

My sweet, little Jane has been acting too much and supporting her cousin. Can she not justify and see the crystal clear behavior of her cousin towards me? He is always so full of himself around me but is so sweet when it is just the two of them hanging out.

Or is she having a blind eye towards me and only me...?

Can she not see that I'm suffering? Mentally? Even physically?

This has to do with something I'm not aware of. Still.

This is pure frustration that I'm feeling. And I can't help but be selfish for once.

Her chest heaves and her breathing is ragged, until she realizes what she has just done.

"Wait—"

But I'm already swirling around in the wind and disappearing to elsewhere...

To where my mind could float into the warm waters and the devine energy of nature surrounds me.
