[So I was actually going through a major crisis and was considering to change the POV from Ronald to Author, wherein I can write about other details too. What do you guys say?]
{I'll try writing from this chapter and let me know how it is going on through the author's POV}
The chilly, crisp and breezy winds swirls through trees and branches, carrying scents of various blooming flowers and nectars along with it and Ronald takes a huge breath in. He dives into the water, naked and his mind slipping into a state of freedom and tranquility.
He, as bron amongst it with its powers surging through him, Ronald has always been too attached to the nature than anyone or anything else. Someone might ask him what is his favorite thing to do for leisure? Or ask him what is his favorite thing in general.
He would answer it in a single word: Nature.
He dunked his head into the clear waters of the shallow lake, meeting and greeting the dumb fishes which were alerted with a wolf but also a human scent. It was indeed, the elemental, who smiled stupidly at them and they mouthed back at him, piscine-ly.
He swam further down to the bed of the lake, finding the hydroplanktons sway mindlessly though there were no specific currents under the water. A small bluegill was nibbling on the leaf to make its tummy full, until it sensed the presence of the male and hid away quickly into its small rocky den.
The elemental chuckled inwardly, loving how creatures are and admiring the creations of the creator.
He was getting weary of the sparkling blue underside of the surface. He rises back to the top, kicking his feet to stay at the top and he threw his head back, his hands raking through his wet hair to set them into place.
He was alright. For now. He was finally back in touch with his inner peace and his soul was sticking to him, listening to him and thinking about him and only him. Momentarily.
But when he was stepping back onto the land, his mind was getting fogged again with the thoughts of Jane and Gerald and practically everything he has to worry about as an elemental, as a mate and as a possible contender to the one who is a threat to their relationship, the wolf bond with Jane.
He yet has to claim her as his, but he promised himself he would only proceed when she will open her mouth and give him consent. Oh, did that have an effect to his body.
But he being himself, shove the unholy thoughts to the back of his mind— of course not forgetting it though— and dried his body instantly with warm breeze hitting him softly. He produced the wind until he was completely dried off, but he decided to let his hair dry naturally by the natural wind.
He put his clothes and sandals back on and started walking out of the dark woods to one specific house which welcomed him at any point of his time.
Almost an hour later, Ronald was ringing up the bell to the door best friend's residence.
"Ron?" Daniel could smell the other alpha who was standing to one side of his body on his feet.
"Hello to you too."
Ronald pushed his friend by the shoulder and slumped his body inside, walking like a zombie through the hallway until the kitchen.
"Hey aunt. Mind if I crash here for the night?" He threw himself softly at the middle aged woman who was preparing something for the evening.
"Oh you're welcome here any time, sweetheart. The guestroom or with Daniel?"
"I guess I will need some man company." He answered honestly and acknowledged the nod which came from his best friend.
"Alright dear. I'll make the dinner for you tonight. Snacks will be on their way up soon." She informed and opened the cabinets filled with junky goodness, resuming again to stir the creamy mushroom pasta.
"Something is definitely wrong."
"What..." my eyes are droopy and hooded boredly as I look at him from the bed.
"I said, something is bothering you man. What is it?"
"Thanks for noticing." He mumbled to the beta, lying down on his bed like a starfish and watching the fan above rotate slowly.
"Ugh." The beta exclaimed and closed the door behind him, jumping on his best friend's tummy right after.
"Tell me or wither under me."
"WHAT THE F?? THAT SOUNDS REALLY BAD! OH MY GOSH YOU WEIGH LIKE A PIG, MOVE!" the alpha of the two shoved the beta beside him lazily, chuckling along with his best friend which soon turned into a fill on laughter session.
"Ronald. I'm serious. Tell me what's going on."
Ronald sighed inwardly, closing his eyes and recollecting his thoughts before explaining everything to his friend.
Daniel sat on the chair beside him, patiently listening to his friend and calming him when he was about to rant in anger and probable jealousy.
"So there's this cousin of hers who is trying to separate you, you are forced to join the princely contest, and she doesn't believe a single word you say because she favors her cousin for some odd, unruly reason." Daniel summed up everything, making Ronald nod his head at every point.
"I'm so stressed man."
"If I were in your place, I would've left her to be honest. No offense."
"None taken. But I would never leave her for this simple reason. I already told you she is not being herself. She's moody. She's always daydreaming and I hate that I can't read her mind and only hers!" The exclamation was totally absurd but Daniel listening to his tantrums patiently.
"Ronald. Bro. Give yourself some time. You can crash at my place at any possible time and I'd help you out with everything. Just do what seems best to you." The beta gave his concerned reviews and opinions, patting his thigh where Ronald was requested to lay on.
"Thanks man. I don't know what I would do without you." Daniel smiled at his words, raking his fingers close through the hairline of his best friend. The action calmed the aloha down to the extent that he was into a bliss. Sure, his mother would do the same but ten times better but maybe, just maybe he wanted something out of his best friend who seems to be lonely and without a job.
Right then, he gets an idea.
"Dan?"
"Yeah bro?"
"Wanna work as my handmaid when I become the prince?"
