Training: Day 3

"Get up, weakling." There was it again. Gerald was full on with his powers today and Ronald found it hard to be humble now. He was constantly being irked by the snitch who gave him no comments or suggestions.

Despite the trainer being absent, the two men started the training nonetheless on the orders of the king.

Gerald is misleading him, giving him no room for thoughts as he swung his sword at the untrained alpha swiftly and professionally.

Ronald had enough of it.

"Stop it!" He exclaimed with a huge roar, banging in the air which created ripples across the area around him. The impact being powerful, threw Gerald a few good meters behind but he gained back his balance quickly.

"You know that's cheating, right?"

"I don't freaking care, Gerald. I know what you're trying on me, and honestly, it's not funny." He tirades shortly, his chest heaving from all the hidden resentment towards the half naked male. He has a great body, no doubt, but his rotten heart, mind and soul makes him look like a beast unleashed, to Ronald. He hates him enough for a lifetime.

"Whatever I'm doing and whatever I'm being trained with, is a way to protect people around me. Now for instance, there's a sudden war waged and you're injured, there's no one around you unfortanely except me. You certainly need help to survive." Ronald reasoned out wisely with an example. No matter whom he resents or is disgusted by, he has an eternal duty to perform which is to protect and nurture. To keep people safe regardless their gender, species or morals.

"I'd rather die in the hands of the enemy than take your help, peasant." Gerald seethed rudely, pushing the elemental to the edge.

What a wonderful idiot.

"Right. Then I have no business training with you. I'll talk with the king and let him know how 'perfect' his nephew is." Ronald rolled his eyes and threw the sword to the ground. Turning on his heel, he roughly pulled onto the cloth protecting his hand from the heavy metal. He didn't care when the friction of the rough cloth bruised his back of the hand, he just kept going.

Until...

"Wait!" He stopped right on his tracks, his mind wavering between too many things but he was not going to show mercy on him anymore.

"I'm sorry, but you're going back home Gerald."

Quite opposite to what he thought he was willing to do, Ronald was actually contemplating on exposing Gerald to the king. He was not an evil person, and he certainly knew the consequences the royals had to face when met with bad image.

They would no longer be regarded as royals and will surely be mistreated, like a disgrace to the royalties.

He was never selfish either. Always thinking about others and reasoning out things rather than being impulsive and straightforward.

He sighed and landed on the couch of the room with a thud, his arm making its way to cover his eyes when the door opens widely. He senses her presence immediately, opening his arms for her to lay on his chest.

"Aw did you miss me?" She mused, trying her best as possible to get out of her royal robe which revealed comfortable satin and lenin clothing beneath. She let her hair down from the torturous bun and directly laid on warm and inviting chest.

"Of course I did miss my princess." He played along casually, ironically. They share a casual kiss whilst pouring in all the love they have for each other.

A few minutes later into their relaxation, the door knocks could be heard and in enters her handmaid.

"Oh! I'm sorry your majesty. The dinner commences in a few minutes." She hastily utters and closes the door frantically behind her. The couple inside the chambers laugh awkwardly, neither of them sensing the presence of another wolf nor did they hear footsteps zooming in.

Ronald helps Jane stand up and dress into her pair of pajamas, one of the favorite times of his day where he can see her skin. Even just by a bit though.

"Cherry pink for tonight." He hands her the set from the closet and respectfully turns around to give her privacy. She quickly slips into the silk set, cute cherries and bananas printed on the glossy texture of the fabric. She throws her worn dress in the laundry basket and kisses his shoulder to say that she was done.

"Let's go?"

Another lovely kiss and they walk down the hallway, hand in hand.

Jane is talking about her day as usual and he is listening to her intently until they reach the dinner table. The royals including some noble visitors sit at the table along with the king and the queen, waiting for the dinner to commence.

In just a few minutes, the loudness of the chatters decreases to chirping whispers, mostly the visitors and the nobles talking amongst themselves, most probably about business.

It was when he was passing on the bread to Jane when he noticed the stares boring through his skull. He looks up, finding Gerald staring at him intensely from the opposite aisle, his stare spoke more than needed.

He is begging for his secrets and dirty attitude to be kept hidden, something which makes the elemental come to a deal.

"We'll talk later." He mouth quietly at the other royal alpha, him nodding curtly and looking away sharply the next moment.

Pathetic, two-faced donkey.

"Ron?"

"Yes, darling?"

"Do you, by any chance, know her?" She asks in a tone which is wrapped and dripping with jealousy, her index finger pointing at the woman sitting beside an old man, probably a nobleman who is her father.

He knows he shouldn't be playing with the witty lady's feelings, but he is dying to get a reaction out of his mate.

He glances at the woman looking at him, her gaze shyly shifting away when their eyes meet. He laughs at how transparent Jane's thoughts have become but tries to control his amusement.

"And...what if I did?" He asked, not looking directly at her but at the wine glass between them. From the corner of his eye, he catches her clenching her jaw and boring holes at his face. If looks could kill, Ronald would've been buried six feet underground before he even knew it.

He was internally screaming at what was about to come.

"I'm not hungry." She says quietly, but the princess had her own fanclub in the royalty who were trying to assess the situation. The king looked at Ronald who had a huge, mischievous grin on his face.

'What did you do?' He unamusingly asked with his eye stare to which Ronald shook his head vigorously and ran after the fuming female omega royalty.

He was laughing and sloppily following her down the hallway, taking small breaks to catch his breath but the female was walking away as briskly as she could.

"Baby wait! I was kidding!"

"Oh yeah? How about you sleep on the couch tonight? Or better, sleep with her!!" She yelled at his face with hidden anger and jealousy which made him gold in half through laughter.

"What is so freaking funny for you?"

"Y-your reaction." He airily stated, leaning on the wall with one hand to stabilize himself.

"Duck off." He made a howling sound at her curse, quickly running upto her and trapping her in his arms.

"Gotcha!"

"Leave me alone, cheater!"

"You know I could never dare cheat on a woman like you, baby." He mumbled against her neck, nibbling on the mate mark which made her quiver in his strong arms.

"Good thing it was a stupid joke. But I'm still upset with you. Get away from me." She tried to get away from him but he leaves her no room to escape. They transport back to her room wherein she is automatically below him on the bed. The sudden change of vertical to horizontal posture elicited a shriek from her.

"Say, let's have some role-playing and fun tonight. What do you say, darling?"
