The next morning Jane woke up with a shiver running down her back as her mind reminisced the last night's unholy events before she opened her eyes. Her shaky breath waking up her alpha who was on borderline deep sleep.
"Hey, what happened?"
"I'm so sorry. It's nothing. I should go take a shower as soon as possible." He read her mind, even if it was for a brief second, he understood why was she being like this in the morning.
Yet his arms refused to release her from his cage of carnality.
"So, that's how I'll look on you when we do it." He whispers right above her ear, voice low and groggy and his wet tongue makes a feathery introduction on her sensitive skin, his teeth slightly nibbling on the lobe.
Another wave of shock makes her shudder visibly and before she could feel his hardness poking her shamelessly, she swiftly whips his hand off her waist and stands up in the speed of light.
"That was enough teasing. You should get up too." She suggested calmly but we all know she was having a storm inside her mind.
He sighed, playfully and twisted his fingers in the air which transmitted through the medium and she shrieked in pain, holding her side of the waist.
"Ouch Ron!" He laughed at her staggering reaction and rolled on the bed lazily.
Soon, both of the mates were kissing each other and part ways as the handmaids of the princess collected her at their door.
Ron was tying the white piece of cloth over his hands and palms when he was tapped lightly on the back, gaining his attention.
"Hey."
"What?" Ronald had no better response to give to the rotten soul man. Maybe he did, but he wasn't too insane like him.
"I just, want to talk to you about something."
Ronald grew confused as the time ticked by, his back still facing the slightly shorter man who was expecting a reply from the elemental.
"Can it wait?" His stern voice cut the silence of the corner in the field, him turning around just a little to observe his gaze.
"It...can. Alright." Ron swore he heard him gulp and try to study his mind. But all he heard were a string of obscene curses which confused him either way again. What was so important for that man to discuss things, not to point out he was extremely calm and did not snarl or growl at him throughout the small conversation.
"Weirdo." He let his thoughts dilute with that comment being thrown in the air, returning to his job and waiting for his trainer.
"Apologies for he delay, gentlemen. Shall we commence now?"
"Yes, sir!" Ronald's mood was better today than the other days, his morning coffee might have done him well, he thinks.
He glances at the king taking his seat under the wide umbrella and once he feels his look on him, he smiles bashfully.
Ronald muses at the fact that the king makes his time to come and watch him whilst training. He is incredibly respectful at the man, the elemental knowing how hard it is for a king to push some responsibilities up over his schedule, just for making some time to watch their daughter's untrained alpha mate to get trained like any other teenager alpha.
Oh, he regrets having not trained because his foolish self never thought about his powers could suddenly be stripped off by anyone if they tried.
Now especially when he was given a drink at the IQ test set up, he was half sure that anyone could use that potion against him in a battle.
Now, back to reality, the two men face each other with two thick daggers in their hands. Their bodies are clad with heavy leather which a normal human cannot even take a step with it. Nonetheless, the thick leather was to partially protect them from the injuries at the fight, and mostly because that was a part of training.
Now imagine, you'll have to carry around a body whilst in battle and he's in a critical condition. This training was a part of warrior alphas who served to the royals, but the king believed that this training should prove useful to anyone so it became a routine included.
"Start!" The voice and other sounds drain out quickly as blood and oxygen and adrenaline pump to the muscles, scattering effectively to the important areas for a fight.
The almost hand sized daggers cuts through air as Gerald swings one at his face impulsively.
Losing on the first attempt, he takes time to regain his posture when his back was sliced in a short swing by the elemental.
"You're fast." Gerald breathlessly commented, maybe praised a little but we cannot actually make it out since it is supposed to be a professional fight.
"I have to be." Is the elemental's humble response as he slides on the sand, seemingly appearing to slide to the right but he quickly changes the course on his feet and stabs right through the stomach area of his opponent.
The shocked royal alpha raises his hand, looking at the trainer for permission to speak.
"Trainer, he's being too fast. I think he excells at rapid movements." He gave a honest remark which faltered the stance of the elemental, looking at the trainer who was observing his fight style.
"Exactly. Might be because of his duties as the elemental." The trainer said and smiled proudly at the man, who bowed and smiled back bashfully.
"Let's not waste anymore time people. Five points to win." The king puts out in the open as a joke, though the fight resumes and Ronald wins the game without having any mercy towards the royal male.
With three more points awarded, the elemental is praised and boosted with ego and pride as he becomes more proactive for the day.
He retreats back to his princess's chambers to take a bath and have some breakfast.
As he was walking down the stairs merrily, his name was called and he turned his head towards the male's voice.
It was Gerald, jogging down the hallway of the first floor too meet the elemental.
And have a talk. Probably.
"Hey."
"Hello." Gerald frowns at the formal greeting.
"So...uh." his words get mixed inside his mind as a small but effective grumble rumbles through the atmosphere around them. Ronald cringes at his ungraceful act and clutches his stomach in embarrassment.
"Look, I'm already hungry—"
"I'll be quick." Was Gerald's quick reply.
"Fine." The elemental looked away and waited for the other male to start speaking.
"You know...I've been thinking, you are a good guy, Ronald. I'm sorry I was having a different picture of the elemental in my stupid mind. The way I have been treating you was wrong on my part. I've come to ask for your apology." Gerald finishes his mini apology speech and almost goes down to bow, but quickly remembers he is a royal and he is older than his cousin's mate.
"Apology accepted. But only when you explain what was that show you gave me on that day when I was at the hospital?" The intrigued alpha wanted answers and he wanted them right now. He would get to know about Gerald anyway but it would be less stressful if he reveals it himself.
Especially when his mind is sober and his intentions were detected to be just normal.
Ronald picked up no senses of fear or any agitation from the male and Gerald clicks his tongue before he speaks.
"I'm partially a wizard, man. My mother was a royal but my father worked as a wizard at the palace. My wizard powers are overshadowed by my wolf, not to mention royal blood runs through me. So, yeah. That's that. Sorry for bothering you but I was just checking."
As story-like his words sounded, Ronald knew he wasn't lying. He could make it out quicker than anyone blinking and he wasn't questioning it further.
"I apologize for that too." Gerald added and showed him a small smile, the happiness not reaching his eyes but just enough for an apology to look sincere.
"Okay."
"Thank you."
"It's okay. You were trying to be there for your cousin sister. I appreciate that." Ronald said and patted his shoulder slightly before racing away, his stomach now growling at him for it to be fed.
