Training: Exempted

[I love the number of the chapter]

The next day was a total disaster. The elemental was torn between too many entities and not to mention, the crime rates streaked up on the chart which was an issue of concern for the whole country.

Today, the training was skipped and Ronald was at the court room, the royals from all over the country have joined them at once to discuss the complications.

"Humans have been disappointing us a lot, Prime Minister." The king talked about the humans to the human himself.

"I'm concerned myself. I'd like our head of security to speak on this regard." At that being said, a middle aged man clad in a sleek black suit entered the room with a file in his hand.

"Good morning Prime Minister and the President. Warm regards to the king." He greeted in a polite voice, stance strong as he looked over at the elemental.

"Without further adieu, I and my agents have collected reports all over the country and even overseas about these complications. It isn't a surprise." He says, stopping midway to turn on the projector at the edge of the room and a picture of a man is seen.

"Agent, please zoom in." The image zooms into a hand. There is a symbol, a tattoo inked to the back of their hand and is quite peculiar, the man looking so normal.

"This, is Mr.Harry Kim. One of the top serial killer of all times with a record of over a hundred human and werewolf murders. Not to mention he is a professional prison escapist." He then clicked on the button, the screen displaying the internal shell of the prison.

Everything is quiet for a few seconds, until a loud bomb explosion is heard and the wall crumbles down in the matter of seconds.

Apparently, the criminal knows he was being watched. His sneaky wink and a two pointer salute blasts off another wall and the connection is lost.

"We have to issue a nationwide search for this man. I believe he has his own puppets performing all the crime everywhere, Prime Minister." The head of security says and backs away, taking his seat at the farther corner of the table.

They all ponder upon the information shared, Ronald's senses going to a peak level wherein his elemental takes over and reads several minds at once. Though, everyone in the room is clueless, until one of the middle aged man, one of the royals, speaks up.

"I think we will have to search them by ourselves. These are no normal killers. They do have a support system and I'm afraid there are some dark creatures behind the phenomenon." No doubt he was wise and next in line after his brother, the king.

"Good point, brother. We all will search for the killers ourselves with the help of the royal guards. Each team heads to the assigned country sides with two royal witches or wizards in their group. Brother and I will take the northeastern line." The king initiates and everyone follows.

"We will take the west coast, your majesty." Another group of royals suggest, earning an approval from the president and the king.

"We will investigate the central." The head of security says and slowly, everyone starts to slip out of the room, leaving a distressed King, Queen, Gerald, the Princess and the elemental.

"That leaves me with the southern coast." Ronald voices his thoughts out, slowly relaxing his tensed back posture when he feels his mate's hand on his thigh.

"But, son—"

"I know you will try to restrict me from going but it is my duty, my lord." Ronald states his intentions whilst making the atmosphere thick with thoughts quilting the air.

"I'm afraid of nothing."

"But we're afraid you will hurt yourself, Ronald. You aren't even trained yet. There's a hugh risk someone might strip you off of your powers, especially when dark creatures are lurking around the whole country like that. Who knows? Their main motive is to get to you!" Princess Jane slams her hand on the table to get her point across. The people around the table are stunned by the normally pious and calm lady but know that every word she spoke was nothing but the subsequent truth.

"Jane, I understand but—"

"There's no buts. If you're going, then I'm coming too." At this, the king and the queen, or almost everyone tries to protest against the princess but she snarled at them quite dangerously.

"I will loath you all for a lifetime if you will let him go alone to the southern coast." Her words were affirmative and no one dared to object her any further.

"Jane...I understand what are you going through."

"No Gerald, the south coast is the worst compared to any part of the country!" She exclaimed and huffed in visible anger, concern now seeping through the people as she looked elsewhere until her mate opened his mouth to speak.

"Jane, honey you are stressing other people more than you know."

"THAT IS BECAUSE I CANNOT DEAL WITH THE REGRET, RON! NO ONE LETS ME GIVE A SAY IN THIS! THINK ABOUT ME! WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHEN MY MATE IS OH SO FOUND DEAD IN THE MIDDLE OF THOSE DENSE FORESTS OF THE SOUTH HUH?! EVER THOUGHT OF ME?? NO! IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT THE PEOPLE OR THE MENTAL EGO ABOUT YOU! ALL OF YOU!" the crazy lady in the room leaves a mark on the wooden table, the dampened spot on the paper file breaking Ronald's heart into millions, like shards of glass being crushed to bits.

"She never listens..." the queen, now realizing the place her little girl might've been living in. Regret and negativity is all etched onto their faces as they keep staring at the slammed open door.

"Ronald." The king calls his name.

"Yes, father."

"Take care of her."

"Till my last breath and even after. That is my promise to you, father."

"Good."

The tear stricken individuals drag their feet to their own rooms, resting for the night.

Probably the only night they will be finding once in the future days of horror and war.
