The Disaster

After taking a rest for more than five minutes they sail to save their friends trapped between the gigantic bubbles.

Even minutes had passed the sound of gun firing still can be heard from afar as the three don't have a single clue on what's happening there. The only thing that they should be focusing on now is to save their friends.

They sailed however it was in futile.

Gigantic bubbles suddenly appeared from below making the boat separated from the waters.

"Now we are also stuck!" said Carlo in a furious tone as he hit the wall of the boat.

Not only the bubbles are gigantic like the size of a twelve wheeler truck or even bigger, but it also can't even be pop easily by hitting it with a fist nor an ax unless you have a certain force like a force of a small boat falling down from a five-story building or more.

"Now what would we do?" Mike said in question as he tried hitting the bubble with an ax.

"Hey, maybe we can walk on it," said Leo as he puts pressure on the bubble with his foot.

Leo takes caution and tried to stand still at the top of the bubble.

He lost balance a little but he managed to stand barely.

"It looks like we can," said Leo as he adapts his feet from the bubble.

Mike is the next one to take a step to walk on the bubble. He put his left foot first before the other as he takes precaution. As he takes his time Leo is now totally adapted to the bubble that he can even jump from one place to another.

Carlo cannot wait for Mike as he tried taking a step without hesitation.

"You are really not afraid, aren't yah?" said Mike as his feet are now at the bubble but his body is still leaning at the lifeboat.

"No, you are just afraid." Leo immediately replied not taking single care about the other's feelings as he is now jumping from one bubble to another.

It did not take a while and Mike can now walk without a worry on the bubble.

Carlo is already used to walking on the bubble before Mike can.

The three did not have a single problem on walking or even running after that they went straight to the two lifeboats using the bubbles as a foothold.

*Ray POV*

Our situation is still worse.

We are just about to escape but these bubbles stop our tracks.

I didn't see the bubbles before we get down from the ship. It's really dark on the sea as I can't see a single thing.

Before we realize that there is something we are already too late.

As I was looking out from the window at the distance another ship appeared out of nowhere.

I immediately inform the others but we can't sail the lifeboats because the bubbles are separating the boats from the water leaving us stuck in one place.

The direction the ship is headed is about to crash at the ship where Mike and others standing.

It pops every bubble that blocking its way like the one who is controlling the ship is a madman as the speed of the ship is increasing.

Luckily, the lifeboat that I am in and another one lifeboat near us is not gonna get hit by the sailing ship.

However, the other two lifeboats are not quite lucky as it was about to get hit by the ship.

Only a few managed to get off from the lifeboats as the remaining died from getting themselves crashed inside.

"Life preserver! Oy someone throws life preserver at them!" Rin who is near me shouted in command as he throws a life preserver to the sea waiting for someone to grab it. Others also throw life preservers at the sea.

As we wait for respond no one comes out.

"What happened?"

"Do your people know to swim?" I asked Rin who is in now a disbelief state as he can't believe that they died. He promised to his boss that he will not everyone die but...

"No, but at least they should be shown a sign of struggle but they don't. It's like there is something below us that we can't see," Rin answered nervously.

Maybe because of the worm that we encounter and the large bubbles appeared out of nowhere he considers all of the possibility that there might be something that cannot be comprehend by human understanding.

He is cautious as he can't let others die anymore.

The sea below us is something that we can't see in this dark night but maybe because of my guts, it's telling me that something is lurking below us as it is waiting for something.

"NO! MY FRIEND IS STILL IN THERE!" Someone from the other lifeboat is tried to go out but get restrained by his friends.

"Bro, you can't it's dangerous!"

"So what!? I'll just let my friend die there!?"

They are making a ruckus as it might influence others to go in a panic.

We don't know what to do with this situation especially when our best of three is not here anymore.

They said that they sacrifice their lives for us but I believe that there might be some little hope.

We're stuck here as we have nothing to do but to listen to the gunshots from afar for half an hour.

In the meantime, we've calmed down the people who are in a state of panic as they thought that we have finally lost hope for escape. Without their leader, we had a hard time dealing with them.

"Hey, guys. You might not believe it but I see three silhouettes running towards us by using bubbles as their footholds," said Daniel who sitting at the door of the lifeboat.

Daniel is in a more stable condition because I treated his wound from the first aid kit that we have found here in the lifeboat.

After finding out that his friend sacrifices his life for them maybe he thinks that he needs to do something to help us in this situation and because of that he is now guarding the door of the boat along with two thugs.

I immediately responded to his call and look at the bubbles from afar. It takes a minute for me to saw the three silhouettes that are running straight to us. As expected from Daniel to be able to see the silhouettes from afar in this mist night.

"What should we do?" One of the thugs asks Daniel who is glaring at the three silhouettes.

"Wait..." Daniel squinted his eyes as he looks at those three.

"!?" Daniel, as he saw something, he makes a surprised face.

I immediately ask; "What is it?"

"It's Leo along with the two shitty heads."

"!?" (What!? How!?) I ask in thoughts but with his words, I felt relieved.

Rin is already beside us when he heard that his boss is still alive.

Before we even gave our thoughts to each other the three silhouettes arrive at the door making us surprised at their sudden arrival.

Bun hair, and scary eyes.

I-I-I-It's really him!

"Mike!!!"

I quickly lunch myself into him hugging him with all my worries.

But he managed to block me as he knew that I was going to do that.

He is really him!

"B-boss!!" Rin also did the same that I did to his Boss but the boss didn't think that Rin would do that to him.

"Geez. What a fucking child you are. I get it, I get it, so stop hugging me!" Carlo struggled but it was in vain.

"You fucking made me worried back there." Daniel can't do the same thing that I did because his right leg is gone. He only gives Leo a fist bump as a sign of thanking him.

"Hehe... I know right!? Can't believe that we could survive there." said Leo in a cool manner.

"By the way, what happened to your shoulder? Is your head alright?"

"Ahh, It was just an accident don't worry about small things and about the head its patch up so it's fine." He waves his hands showing Daniel he must not worry about this.

The thugs saw their boss and tears flow from their eyes as they cried in happiness.

Even the people from the other lifeboat also cried when they see their boss.

"We got no time for that. It's time to discuss what to do on this gigantic bubbles," said Mike as he ignores the cries of the thugs and went straight to the point.

He went to explain what happened back there when we left and also explain to us that there are also people like us at the other ship.

"Aren't we gonna save them?" I ask Mike.

"We are not heroes to save everyone and we got no time for time nor even strength to do that. Based on the gunshots they must be facing a creature like a worm there so we must not get involved in there." Mike answered without hesitation that we will leave the others like us behind.

The others also agreed especially when most of us died not because of the guards but because of the single monster. We don't want to face that again.

We seated in the middle of the boat as we discuss our plan from here and out.

While we discuss we all take a single biscuit from the lifeboat's supplies and eat it.

The others already found the biscuit as they already eat some of it a while ago.

"So what are we gonna do?" Leo asks.

"Pointed or sharp object that can be found here at the lifeboat can't pop the bubble even with all of us strength combined. Leo tried it earlier but it was in vain." Mike explains the bubble that separates us from the sea.

Rin beside me gives information to the three; "Our people from the two lifeboats that got crashed are dead. Well, some managed to escape to the sea but they never come out."

"That's a bit disturbing. Is it because of the bubbles?" said Carlo.

"I don't know but we know that there is something there and I don't want to know what it is," Rin replied.

"We could try walking our way out from here via the bubbles since we know that its safe to step on it. The only thing we don't know if the bubbles only covered this area, not the whole sea. Not to mention our food supplies, and the possibilities of pop might pop as it has a time limit. Gaghhh!!! My brain is getting fried up to this point!" said Mike as he holds his head in pain.

If only the bubbles are not in the way.

While we are in the middle of planning Daniel shouted at us.

"Oy! There is something big is happening! Look!"

Daniel is pointing something outside and so we take a look.

The ship that crashed is now sliced into half as the half of the ship is now sinking.

It can be called sinking but the actions of the half getting swallowed by the water are too fast for it to called sinking. It's like something is pulling it.

Because of it, the waves are rising pushing all the bubbles away along with us.

"Brace yourselves!" said Carlo as he a pole beside him.

Others followed as they all take their seat and wear their seatbelt.

Looks like our problem for our means of escape is now clear and we are now ready to start our engine to escape.

"Rin."

"I know."

As Carlo had said, Rin takes the driver's seat and started the engine as he holds the wheel.

Uhmm... Does he know how to drive?!

Like Carlo read my thought he answered; "No he doesn't."

Then why!?

Then Carlo continued; "But when it comes to driving something like a car or a motor, Rin is our bet. Just let him take his time and you'll see."

As Carlo had said Rin is trying to understand what is all the concepts of the controls as he stared it with all of his focus is on there ignoring the large waves that happening outside.

The other lifeboats are barely trying to hold themselves. I didn't know their driver but it looks like the can be managed by themselves.

"What the fuck is happening!?" voiced one of the thugs.

"Just hold on tight! Ah!? You are eating!? Give me some, you glutton!" one of the thugs replied.

We are getting far away from the two ships as more waves are getting in our way.

Now I know why the lifeboats have a roof as it protects us from this kind of incident.

Daniel and the three thugs lock the door just in time before the water gets in.

"These events keep getting worse and worse." complaint by Carlo as he facepalms himself.

As the ship fell, the ship's top turns its way in front of us making see the people who are holding tight to anything they could find just to not fall to their deaths.

From here you can hear their screams showing that they mostly consist of girls.

Their painful voice disappeared from one to another as they are falling to their deaths into the sea.

No one rises their heads like someone is pulling their bodies into the depths of the sea.

Fire rises at the ship as it is sinking and a sound of an explosion can be even heard throughout the sea.

The ship where we are supposed to be is also in a fire as it shows people are now amid despair.

The sound or the flashes of the guns are in sight anymore as they are now running for their lives from something scarier.

We all just look at their struggle, we look with sympathy from our eyes that we can't give our hands on them when they are in need. No people would be enjoying this sight even the bad guys would also feel that this is too much.

I only hold my hands together praying for their souls to be in peace after this in heavens.

While Ray closed his eyes praying for the lives of the people that died.

Mike is staring beyond something that anyone could see that even Daniel can see it barely.

He didn't see it because he can but because he could.

Like you can't see it but you know what you see.

The familiar face from afar the girl who has bruises from every part of her body.

The black hair flailing from her head, and her white skin that shines that reaches even here.

No one could compare the uniqueness of that girl from any other girl that he could ever meet.

He could not imagine that it was just a different girl with the same feature as her.

He knew it was her.

But what he is hesitating is that why is the girl he knew is here.

"S-Sena?" said Mike as a drop of sweat fall down from his nervous face.

The girl he wanted to see but not in this place nor in this time is here.
