Chapter Thirteen

He was alone in his room. Dark brown hair was brushed to the side as he sat on the edge of his bed. For the past week, he'd been trying to locate her. As if she was hidden—he'd had no such luck.

Jayden let out a sigh of frustration.

Where was she?

He remembered the day she'd broken free from him. His being had nearly shattered from the force of repulsion he'd felt when his hold on her was broken.

She was getting stronger and he was getting weaker.

He felt hands on his bareback and as if just remembering that someone else was on his bed, he looked down at the human girl that laid on it.

He stared at her and listened to her heartbeat. It was addicting. He'd been stocking up for the past weeks, laying hold on whoever he could find.
