Rich Bruno, once a nineteen-year-old Miner, now has the opportunity to move from his poor Home City of Adlington to the wealthier Market City of Espington. He and a group of young Miners are transported via carriage to their new life. En route to Espington, the carriage is struck by a wood bomb. Several Miners are injured, a few are killed, and Bruno believes he sees a mysterious red-haired man that may or may not have been on the carriage to begin with. 
     Getting to Espington was not easy for Bruno.
     Starting a new life there will be even harder.

The Ones Who Live in Espington

As if enough colored Codes were alerted in Espington, Julius had to call a Code Yellow, which apparently meant an escape from the Slammer. Nobody in decades had ever slipped through the security within the Guard House. Not only would the fugitives have had to get out of their cell, but they would have had to exit through the lobby as there were no windows in the Slammer. 


Jago and Sayer darted out of the Guard House to inform the Wall Guard, calling the Watchtowers on their walkies as they ran. Cradock and Julius sprinted to the front desk where Dottie Milson sat. 


"How did two of our top criminals escape their locked cell?" Julius shouted. 


"I-I don't know!" Dottie retorted. "The fog came into the Guard House before we could shut all the doors and windows! We were all disoriented! We managed to clear out the fog quickly and we didn't think anything happened in that span of time!"
