Epilogue

The City once known as Adlington was overgrown with vines, bushes, and pinlings. The shacks, shoppes, and city hall were now cloaked in ivy and moss. Piners roamed through the green City, making the buildings-turned-treehouses their new homes. The Adlington Wall still stood tall though the border resembled more of a massive hedge than a concrete structure. The Piners outnumbered the Vikings exponentially now. Spotting a man in armor was like a needle in a haystack. Adlington was swallowed by the Piners and its name ceased to exist except in dark memories.

Espen Fontenot watched these past six months since the war a City he once called home devolved into part of the woods he once feared. Jfeem Fosq was the new name traveling amongst the Piners as they spoke it in their common tongue. It took Espen quite some time to translate; luckily, he had some help from Julie.
