“This is a surprise.” I said once I opened my front door Friday morning. Zendé stood in front of me in his school uniform. The clock on the wall showed that it was before 8 so he was probably on his way to school.
“Hey Hunter, I need a favour.” Figured as much. Why else would he be standing outside my house before 8 on a school day?
“What do you need?” I asked.
“Well my friends and I need a place to hangout today so I was wondering if we could use your house please.” This was interesting. I thought it would be something serious but I never expected a request like this.
“So you want to have a party by my house while you and your friends skip school.” I confirmed.
“It’s not a party.” He quickly defended himself.
“You do know that if your parents find out about this then it will probably jeopardize your position at the company right now.” I reminded him.
“Please don’t tell them about this. I’ll owe you big time.” The desperation on his face was evident.
