"Double-sided tapes?! Are you kidding me," Ken exclaimed. "Never mind that. Masaki, let's go, the other class is here!" The two climbed the stairs with struggle. They try to avoid the tapes that were too sticky when touched to their skins. But, no matter how hard they avoid the sticky tapes, they were still got stuck somehow to the tapes. The other candidates also arrived immediately. Their expressions were similar to those of the previous two when they saw the double-sided tapes. The last four wasted no time and began moving.
Building A has three floors. So, they have to bear with it for another 5 more floors after all of them reached the second floor. Every 3rd-year student were cheering for their classmates and other juniors.
"This is like a spider's web. If you got caught and somehow slip, you'll fall down with tapes all over your body." Ms. Principal's multi-tasking. She's the host and the announcer. She's doing all the work. What a hardworking woman.
And the aforementioned occurs. Ken who was currently in lead lost his footing. His right foot got caught up by a tape and when he was gonna took another step, he tripped and dragged Masaki, who was behind him. The others got alerted, thinking that Ken would continue falling down. Thanks to the tapes that were durably stuck to the walls and to the handrail. That minimized the falling and the damage the two.
Barba and Okamo took the lead and continued to go upstairs. Followed by the two participants of class D, Leila and Tatta. Masaki and Ken quickly tried to recover, however the tapes were just too sticky and it took minutes for them to recover.
Class D and F finally reached the third floor and were running through the corridor into the stairs to go down and reach the next building. There were tapes again stuck up onto the walls and the handrail. There was no time limit, though the class B's closing in to them. Barba and Okamo moved and struggled again to pass through the sticky tapes.
"This isn't tiring but, this tapes are a pain!"
Erika, Tachibana and Ryou were sitting besides each others. Looking through the huge screen on the stage, the three were talking on who will win this first test.
"If you girls are asking me on who will win, I dunno. Not a single bit of idea came in my mind. But, I did bet on our classmates of course. Just a little though..." Ryou let the conversation trailed off.
"The smallest bet you could place is 10,000 Yen." Erika replied dryly. She trust my decision, so she placed 100,000 Yen on our classmates. Money? She has a lot of them.
Tachibana-san let out a deep sigh and interrupted the two, "I didn't bet," she's having a hunch that she'll not win her first bet.
Ten minutes have passed until all of them reached the first floor. With the class F leading the race and the class B placing last. It was as Okamo said, it wasn't tiring but it became a pain for everyone of them to leave the building A.
"Ohhhh! Everyone, our participants had finally leaved the building A and are going directly to building B! Now, what kind of obstacle would be waiting for them!"
Building A and B were 100 meters away from each other. That 100 meter run was enough for a single, unfit person to get tired, sweats bullets and breathe like they've been robbed off their oxygen.
(I might be making my first paywalled chapter after the first test finish. That's all I want to say. Oh and Thank you for reading, if you've ever read this. Lots of Love.)
