The Rising of The Countess

Finishing the Vikings was pretty easy.

Louis and his squad took care of them in a matter of seconds.

"They weren't anything like what they were hyped up to be," said one of the guards.

Louis said nothing in response.

These weren't really Vikings, after all.

Real Vikings were terrifying. With their violent nature, they would mostly hunt with terror and rule the battlefield with fierceness.

But that wasn't something his squad had to know.

"Since you thought it was pretty easy, we won't take any breaks heading back," said Louis.

The squad members groaned at his order.

It was on their way home when one of the members noticed something was off.

No, not off. Simply wrong. Terribly wrong.

Smoke seemed to be coming from a lot of the houses.

"Let's hurry back home," said Louis, as he started to gallop.

The squad members also started to go faster, as their leader galloped in direction of the smoke.
