A CHANGE OF SOUL

With continuous beeping and a slurping sound…Sol got up and came out of her room.

“Good morning sol.” Ax said handing her a cup of hot coffee. She looked around and found Aella looking at the screens and murmuring something to her. Sol walked past her sat in the chair beside her.

“You did a pretty good job here sol. 99% accuracy. I think we can proceed now.” Ella said looking at sol and taking a sip of her coffee.

“But that 1% is still n issue Aella. We cannot risk anything over this.” Sol said looking at Aella. But Aella said nothing but shrugged it off.

“I think it’s time for some work ax. Prepare the lab for transplantation. We will have it in afternoon. I’m taking off today.” Aella instructed ax and looked at sol.

“Give me the core key…I have some changes to make.” Sol stood up and handed her a hard drive. Aella looked at the drive and then sol.

“It will be alright sol.” Saying this she went out of the basement to her room. Then she locked the door and went to her chamber and connected with Xi.

“Good morning Aella.”

“Put it in sequence and run a diagnostics.” Aella said attaching the hard drive to Xi.

“Diagnostics running.”

“How about our new flesh…? How are they going on…?”

“A7 have reported that all are doing well. They can be used after a week after all the installing of necessary equipments and initial trainings.”

“Good.”

“Diagnostics completed. No errors detected.”

“Okay Xi. Now add our sequence to the end tail it to the core.” “Tailing the sequence to the core.”

With several new flashes, several thin air screen popped up with various calculations and coding sequences. Aella sat there looking through each screen constantly observing every code.

“Xi…?”

“Yes Aella…?”

“How are you…?”

“I’m good Aella. After all I’m a machine.”

Aella smiled to herself.

“Still I felt the need to ask you.”

“I feel grateful for that Aella.” Xi replied dropping a smile emoji on a single screen.

“Did we hear anything about Mr. Ross in a while…?”

“No any new news since the last hit.”

“Now this is getting interesting.”

“Tailing completed. Accuracy is 100%.”

“Are you planning to get this soon Aella…?”

“Yes…today itself.” Aella said detaching the hard drive.

“Do I need to go down and see them…?”

“Not in particular. A5 is pretty good with handling things.”

“Keep tracks of everything Xi.”

“Yes Aella.”

Aella looked at a rusty painting on the wall before leaving.

“Aella…?”

Aella moved back and looked at Xi.

“Take care.”

“Yes I will Xi.”

Saying this Aella left the chamber.

“Don’t you think Aella is rushing this too fast…?” ax asked sol who was working on the chip again.

“I think she have her own reasons for that.” Ax nodded and sat beside sol.

“What are you doing…?” ax asked out of curiosity.

Sol looked at him and pushed the pane of microscope toward him. Ax moved ahead to have a look.

“What is this…?”

“I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t know? You made this how can you not know?”

“It doesn’t have a name till now.”

“What it this anyway…?”

“It’s Aella’s spinal fluid.”

“What..?” ax yelled at top of his lungs.

“We are not putting a hard chip to her this time.”

“What are we doing then…?”

“We are replacing her spinal fluid with this new one.”

“You mean we are draining her CSF and putting this at that place…? How can that be possible…?”

“It is possible. I have worked out everything already.” She stood up and pushed a cord inside the main CPU.

“I have split the core into neutral parts; it will not behave like any antigen in her body. It’s fully compatible with her body. For the original CSF, I have synthesized a part ahead and put it together with core particles. It will behave like a normal spinal fluid. She will be alright.”

“What about side effects…?”

“Just minor. Dizziness, blurring of vision and so on. Nothing to worry about. She can endure that.”

“I hope so. But was this necessary…?”

“Yes it was. We cannot risk to get caught. Beside I got the nucleus of 15.” She said showing a bright screen to ax.

“We can now modify it according to our will.” Sol said giving ax a dry look.

“Have you reduced the atomic mass…? What about nuclear stability…?”

“I just put it under pressure with low temperature. Stability is 89%.”

“Wow. That’s high enough for us.” Ax said giving sol a thumbs up.

Aella reached downstairs after having a shower and changing into shorts and a black tank top. Sol and ax both stood up and looked at her.

“here.” Aella said flipping the disk to sol.

“Run it for finale.” Saying this Aella looked at the screens and got a grasp of situation.

“What is expected side effects sol…?”

“Minor only. Headache, vision problem, nausea and so on.”

“We can deal with that.” Aella said looking at ax and smiling at him.

Ax followed her to the lab and sat besides her holding her hand while she was looking though thin air.

“It will be alright ax.” She said looking at him. He nodded and left her alone in the lab.

“When we will start sol…?” he asked sol who was completing her final run on the chip.

“Now!” saying this she led back to Aella in the lab with all ready equipments.

“It’s time Aella.” Aella nodded and stood up stripping her top off. She moved ahead and lied down prone on the table.

“We will use anesthesia for this.” Sol explained the procedure while ax prepared for the procedure. Then she went for preparation while ax anesthetize Aella. And they started the procedure. While procedure and recordings they were very cautious not to touch any of the wring nerve.

“Why are you always using old technique sol…?” ax asked out of curiosity.

“Because they have more accuracy and fewer side effects.”

Ax nodded.

“And how does this will work…can you elaborate it…?”

“This will work as a normal CSF for her body beside it will contain these ultranano artificial intelligence boosted particles in it which will act like just any other cells. I have designed them to react normally with CSF in her body. It will prevent from any of the RSSI decoding and scan.”

She put the drip to minimum and sat back explaining everything to ax who was fascinated about it.

“These particles will act like extra neurons through her CSF which will allow her to expend her field of working with her brain. It will enhance not only the motor function but also the sensory and intelligence too. They will expend her memory beside she have to learn to control it for a while. It’s like a trigger for her to control.”

“What about normal CSF drainage from body…?”

“It will adjust itself to it. That’s why we are removing whole of CSF at once so that body can get used to it with an abrupt rate.”

“I hope she will be able to endure it.” Ax said standing up from his eat looking at the monitor connected to Aella’s pulse.

“It will be alright son. She already corrected the accuracy beyond 100%.”
