▪︎2 years later▪︎
2 years had passed, and all finals of high school were finished. Ji-Rae graduated from her senior year with her two brothers and would now be starting her 1st year of college along with Leeseong and Seongjun.
Right after the ceremony, Ji-Rae had asked her teachers if she could use the school's computer to apply for a scholarship. The teachers knew that the girl didn't have any devices so they let her be.
Ji-Rae had applied for scholarships and she had made sure that they would send her a letter instead of giving her a notification. Mostly because she didn't have a phone yet unlike her brothers.
Ji-Rae and Seongjun were now 18, Leeseong 19, all three of them starting their 1st year of college. Man Weol and Joonsung were both 20 and were about to start their 2nd year. Baekjun was now 22 and would be going in his 4th year. They all still had the summer vacation until they move to studying again.
Weeks had already passed after Ji-Rae's application for a scholarship.
A brown envelope could be seen on their doorstep.

"Ji-Rae! Wake up!" An excited Man Weol barged into Ji-Rae's room, making his way to her bed and shaking her awake.
"Huh? What?" Ji-Rae squirmed around before she sat up, rubbing her eyes.
"There's an envelope for you downstairs!" Man Weol grinned and Ji-Rae's eyes widened.
'Could it be?' She thought. "What envelope?"
"It's brown and has a letter inside, just like any other one duh" Man Weol replied. Ji-Rae debated for a bit before speaking again.
'I can't handle knowing what it could be right now'
"I'm still sleepy... I'll open it later" Ji-Rae snuggled under her blanket again. "Also I'm still too lazy to get up yet.. So shoo"
"Then get on my back instead" Man Weol turned around and showed Ji-Rae his back.
"I prefer to lay down on my warm bed thank you~"
"Joonsung will make you your favorite if you come downstairs right now" Man Weol smirked.
"Well why didn't you say so, come on before I starve to death" Ji-Rae immediately stood up and got on Man Weol's back. Man Weol laughed and left Ji-Rae's room with Ji-Rae on her back.
"Oh and by the way, Joonsung didn't say anything about cooking you a meal" Man Weol snickered, who got hit on the back of his head by an upset Ji-Rae.
"You meanie!!! My beauty sleep is already disturbed because of you! Now you're trying to ruin my morning"
"Sorry, not sorry" Man Weol and Ji-Rae were now downstairs and Man Weol went ahead to the couch and dropped Ji-Rae there. Ji-Rae crashed onto the couch, accidentally startling Seongjun that let out a girly yelp.
Ji-Rae snickered, "Hey weren't you my brother? What happened to him?" She joked, earning a scowl from Seongjun.
"Oh, Ji-Rae there's an envelope for you. Go ahead and read it" Joonsung chirped from beside Seongjun.
"It's here in the dining table in the kitchen" Baekjun exclaimed, his low voice sounding through the house.
Ji-Rae stood up from the couch and lazily trudged over to the kitchen where Baekjun was, sipping on his coffee.
With a smile.
"Woah, you're smiling today" Ji-Rae commented.
"Something really good just happened is all"
"You should smile more brother! It really suits you, it adds up to your handsome features~" Ji-Rae commented. Baekjun snorted.
"Sit down and open the envelope rakas"
Ji-Rae obeyed and took the brown envelope in her hands. She felt a wave of excitement and nervousness wash over her when she opened the envelope and saw six smaller white envelopes inside.
She took out all six and scanned them over.
"Did you apply for multiple universities or what?" Baekjun muttered, amused.
Ji-Rae grinned in excitement. 'This is it. All I can hope for now is that all these aren't rejection letters'
"I'll be in the living room with the others. Call us when you need us" Baekjun muttered and left the kitchen.
Ji-Rae hummed and put down thenother five envelopes on the table. She stared at the one she had in her hand. Her excitement switched to nervousness.
She opened the envelope and read the letter.
She was halfway when...
She felt everything stop.
Time stopped.
The sounds from outside stopped.
Her breathing stopped.
She sat still in her seat, staring at the word that was written in the letter.
She couldn't believe it.
She stood up and hastily took the other five and opened them. She set them all down side by side on the table. They were different letters, but they all said the same thing.
She stepped back and held her hand up to her mouth in disbelief.
She felt like she wanted to scream.
Meanwhile the five brothers were in the living room, and they all couldn't sit still due to their excitement. They saw the envelope and they immediately knewnit was a letter from the university Ji-Rae had applied to. They were already excited just thinking about her getting accepted into a university in another country.
But when they knew there were six letters inside the brown envelope, their excitement increased by tenfold. They were all trying to sit stillcin their place on the couch, but they would either shake their leg up and down, tap their foot, drum their fingers against their lap, anything that didn't look like they were sitting still.
They were busy distracting theirselves so they could at least get their mind off the letter and stop their excitement. But then they suddenly heard a scream from the kitchen.
"Ji-Rae?" Seongjun sprang up from the couch, dropping his phone. All the others followed and went to the kitchen, where they found a Ji-Rae that was sprawled on the floor, her hand help up to her mouth.
"Ji-Rae! Oh my goodness!" Joonsung exclaimed, rushing in to where Ji-Rae was and stood her up. "Are you alright? What happened?"
"I'm sorry... We... I.... U-university"
"Did you get rejected?"
While the others were occupied with the matter, Seongjun spotted the table with letters and picked one up. He read the letter and smiled.
"She got in" he turned to the others who were instantly washed over with relief.
"You... she" Joonsung stammered and looked at Ji-Rae, earning a nod. Ji-Rae herself was in disbelief as well. "You got in!! We told you there was nothing to worry about!"
"You scared us, you idiot." Leeseong scolded, yet pulled Ji-Rae into a hug. "I'm proud of you"
"There were six letters, what do the other five say?" Baekjun spoke up.
Man Weol went to the table and took the other five. He read them all, and not even halfway, he spotted something odd in the letters.
His jaw dropped in realization and his eyes went wide.
"So did she get in the other ones too?"
"No! I mean- yeah! They all aren't rejection letters but-" Man Weol blabbered in complete shock.
"But what? Spit it out already" Leeseong said, getting impatient.
"Our names are on it"
"WHAT?!"
