CHAPTER THIRTY – ONE

Auria tried to be discreet as she rode behind everyone else. She gave Jenny the signal to lead the contingent in her stead. This was a strategic move on her behalf as this would prevent a sneak attack from happening and would make the enemy face them directly. With Lysander’s skills as a hunter, he would be able to give an early warning of any attack that would come in any direction. Jenny remained with her fluttery friends as they manned the front lines, each of the knights ready and armed for an ambush from the enemy.

Such measures were necessary as they have to contend with the threat of the Hildegardians using their abilities to either cloak or maim the contingent.
