Auria directed the others as they set up traps along the edge as a warning of the enemy’s entry. Lysander was on the lookout on top of the tree, his bow and arrow fitted in readiness. Once they were ready, he leapt down and joined the rest as they hid behind the trees, their mounts hidden in a nearby cave.
“If we die here, I am going to haunt you for the rest of your freaking life.” Jenny cursed under her breath. Auria chuckled. It was no secret that Jenny wanted to have her own family. Even though she was chosen to be a knight, she was still daydreaming of her own future with her soon-to-be husband but then again when you have these problems cropping up, it would be difficult to even find a man who would take all of these things with a pinch of salt.
“We are not going to do die, you know. Wounded, yes but dead? I’d like to think that they’d be dead before us.” Lysander commented dryly, his hand flexing on his weapon.
