CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT

Morgana howled, her screams echoing throughout the mountains. It was like the dying of the creatures as their noise converged into one cacophony. The knights pushed on, disregarding the acidic spews coming from the creatures and intent on entering the headquarters of the enemy. Since Morgana was intent on them not taking any prisoners, Auria gave the signal to the knights to show no mercy. To end the creatures before they become food fodder for Morgana’s nefarious schemes.

Auria used her weight to shift her weapon as she dug further onto the creature’s skin. Morgana continued to twitch from ground to ground, trying to dislodge the unwanted insect hanging onto its body. Auria pulled out one of her sais. Covering it with energy, she raised it high above her head before planting it back onto Morgana’s body.
