CHAPTER FIFTY – THREE

Auria smiled as she greeted the guests who were presented to her. Lady Isabelle stood on her left and Lady Mildred on her right. Jenny, Aiden and Valen were standing guard on all exits and General Leo stood guard near the king alongside his council, Lady Farrah and Lord Caleb. Each were showing affable expressions but their senses were on high alert. Lysander and Krystian were standing nearby, although they were on high alert they managed to stay relaxed and suave as they met with the guests and started to mingle with them. All of them were waiting, anticipating what was to happen. They knew that Silvus would come. They could feel the sinister intent in the air. It was inevitable.

Auria shifted her gaze on to the guests and somehow knew that her patience would soon be rewarded. She just needed to be ready when he decides to show up.
