Chapter 12

I giggled when I remember Clarenz's reason why he suddenly act like a jerk towards Theo. I couldn't help but to adore my brother more because of his advanced mind and cute reactions.

"Someone's happy" I nodded and faced Theo who was sitting next to me.

I told him what happened after he left the hospital.

"Hey, why did you act like that to Theo?" I asked when I saw him come out of the bathroom.

He grinned mischievously, "I thought you're pregnant" my eyes widened and I blushed profusely.

"A lot of people died because of concluding immediately" I replied rudely and rolled my eyes at him.

"If you only saw how you push me and say I stink, you act like you are pregnant" he reasoned.

I looked at him seriously, "How did you say that? Have you been with a pregnant woman so you can say that?" I laughed out loud when I saw him paled.

Three weeks passed quickly and it was also three weeks since Theo and I got back.

He burst out laughing after hearing my story.

"Your older brother really thinks differently, love" I nodded and leaned my head on his shoulder.

I felt him kiss my head as his arms snaked around my waist.

"What are you thinking?" He glanced at me and kissed my head again.

I clasped our hands and let out a sigh after that I felt him slightly tightening his hug.

"You're scaring me" I smiled at what he said.

"Don't. I'm just wondering how destiny made a way for us to get closer again"

I felt his chest vibrated that made my forehead furrowed. I removed his hug from me and looked at him.

"You're still childish love" I raised an eyebrow at him after he said that, coaxing him to speak more.

"I don't believe in fate, love, but if there's a thing like fate I'll thank him because he brought us closer again" after that he touched my face and kissed me on the lips.

I felt his lips move which I also imitated, I moved away from him when I heard something behind us.

And when I turned around I saw a man who seemed resentful and angrily left.

We just shrugged our shoulders on what we saw and continued our conversation.

Theo may not have passed the epitome of beauty but he is unique than the other guys. His hair that falls naturally, his emerald eyes that shines brightly whenever he is happy, his pointy nose and his red lips that he always bit whenever he is stifling his smile or chuckle or laugh and of course his prominent sharp jaw that I really love for it tickles me everytime he's snuggling on my neck and lastly the positive aura surrounding him.

No wonder, I fell in love with him.

I was moved out of the trance when he flicked my forehead.

"You're staring too much" I just shrugged and continued what I am reading.

I completely ignored what I felt was wrong. I'm happy that I am making him happy.

I miss that. I miss her staring at me like I am the most handsome person in the world. I miss how her eyes reveal her thoughts and emotions.

I miss her warmth, her natural scent, her voice and most of all her tenderness. I will trade everything I have just to have her back.

"Hey bro, let's go?" I absentmindedly nodded and left while still staring at him.

"Bye, love" I whispered and left.

I don't care if I get hurt, I just don't see that you get hurt. Just be happy I am happy too.

I headed to the locker room when Theo bid his goodbye on me.

I was busy skimming through my notes when someone bumped me that caused my notes to fall.

I picked up my notes and looked at the woman I bumped into, she was wearing a hoodie but that didn't hide her long auburn hair, seems like she's in a hurry, I just shrugged and continued walking but this time I chose not to read my notes to avoid bumping to someone.

When I have reached to where my locker is I comfortably sat at the bench and continued reading.

"Why are you reading here, Ishi?" I looked up at the speaker and saw my older brother, Cassandra and my cousins.

I smiled sheepishly at them before standing up and clinging onto Lorraine's arms.

"Nothing. I have to get something in the locker but I was tempted to read my notes so I am here" Ezriel messed up my hair then I sneered.

"Aren't you afraid of this place? It's still rumored that someone is showing up here" I flashed a grin at him.

"Like that?" I pointed behind him and he immediately ran to Clarenz's back to hide.

Our laughs reverberated inside the lockers room that made him frown.

"Don't scare Ishi off if you are also scared. Karma is still fast" Lorraine litany and he rushed away.

Such a childish move.

Theo broke the deafening silence between us by asking a question.

"Do you have anything to do tomorrow?" I looked at him and answered with a shake before I looked out at the window again.

"Good. Let's date?" My jaw literally drop because of that.

"Let's also buy what we will wear to the ball" I giddily nodded at him then dreamily leaned my head at the mirror.

On Sunday, our school will held our Juniors and Seniors Magical Ball and everyone's cordially invited, with or without a date and of course taken or single.

According to the stories I've heard from the students who experienced the ball it is really magical. Everyone is required to wear a blindfold, it will only be removed when you already have a partner. Meaning, you will be separate from your date and you will have a new date and aside from that, whoever you pair with after that is the one you will end up with. But, I doubt that.

They happened because they chose to, they decided to take part on each others life. They stayed together while facing problems together and did not give up despite the hardships.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow" he said and kissed me on the forehead and lips.

I smiled at him before I went down. He also lowered the windshield and waved at me.

After that, he maneuvered his car and after a minute or so, he's out of my sight.

"You're happy" I was surprised that I rubbed my chest and looked at the source of the voice.

I smiled at Clarenz then nodded my head.

"As long as you're happy, I'll be happy too" he said and waited for me to get closer and he snaked his arms around my neck and at the same time we walked into the house.

Clarenz and I got along after I was hospitalized, the doctor also reminded me to be careful on myself.
