Things were finally going back to the way they were for Kaleen and Candice before Sandman, at least now they knew that they’re safe now that he was in prison. The police had picked his brother up shortly after his arrest they arrested him on the account of conspiracy to the murder of both his parents. Both of them are now serving life in prison.

Kaleen and Candice will never forget that day, especially Kaleen she’d fell in love with him only to find out he’d killed three people, then he knocked Candice out, but the worst of it was he tried to kill her too.

For many months she had nightmares, he haunted her dreams she’d never forget Sandman even though he was no longer around he’d scared her for life.

She had to come to terms that he was a psycho with more than one screw loose. He seemed so genuine, so loving no-one would’ve thought that all the pain and anger he had whilst he had growing up would have affected him like it had and determined what he would become, a person designed to kill others.

Kaleen sat in the corner of the room, the brick work looked like it had been made of sand, she coughed through the dust residue. His dark boots shuffled in the sand as he closed the door behind him, she looked up. ‘Justin?’

He looked at her. ‘please call me Sandman.’

‘Where am I?’

‘Somewhere you can’t escape from.’

‘How did I get here?’

He walked over to her kneeling down. ‘I brought you here while you slept.’

‘Why?’

‘Because you are mine.’ He said pressing his lips on hers kissing her.

‘Miss Summers wake up.’ The psychiatrist said snapping his fingers.

She slowly opened her eyes. ‘What happened?’

‘You talk about some very interesting subjects under hypnosis Miss Summers.’

She looked at him, his eyes a sea blue colour, his hair a sandy colour. ‘Sandman?’

He smiled.

‘Bu…’

He pressed his lips on hers kissing her hungrily.

Kaleen looked around the large sanded room. ‘Do you like it? I designed it just for us.’

‘Bu..’

‘It’s made of sand babe. I’ll show you around you’ll like it. I promise.’

He took her hand pulling her to her feet, leading her out of the room that he was keeping her in through the corridors made of sand.

She opened her eyes sandman stared into them. ‘So you’re still having dreams about me?’

‘I-I-I.’

He smiled. ‘I love you okay. I’ll take care of you.’

He pressed his lips on hers kissing her hungrily. What was going on?’

He wrapped his arms around her kissing her neck as she stared across the sand dunes. ‘It’s just as I promised you babe. But, sadly we can’t stay here anymore.’

‘Why?’

‘The air is too thin. It’s too dangerous, so we’re moving on we shall still be by the beech, I promise.’ He said kissing her neck.

‘And we’re back.’ The psychiatrist said snapping his fingers.

She slowly opened her eyes. ‘So how did it go?’

‘LookMiss Summers we need to talk.’

She pulled herself up into a sitting position. ‘Sure what about?’

‘I’m sorry, but, I’m going to have to stop our sessions.’

‘Why?’

‘They are getting too dangerous. I tried several times to wake you, you seemed to be in your own world where your subconscious took over you conscious making you think that you were awake, but you were still under hypnosis.’

‘Oh, okay.’ She said confused.

‘I’m sorry Miss Summers I’ve tried to get deeper deep enough to banish our demons, but something is stopping me finishing the process.’

‘It’s okay.’ She sighed disappointed, though she knew exactly who it was. She pulled herself up.

‘You can get through this Miss Summers you just need to believe you can without help.’

She smiled walking out of the room. Sandman stared blank at her unnoticed as the door closed behind her.

Candice looked at Kaleen. ‘So how did it go?’

‘He cancelled my sessions.’

‘How come?’

‘He reckoned it was getting too dangerous.’

‘Sowhat now?’

‘I’m just going to have to get over Sandman the best I can.’

‘I’m sorry Kay.’

‘So am I?’

‘Why?’

‘I’m going on about me, but you were there too. I bet you think I’m such a bitch for all of this.’

‘No I don’t. He knew how to get inside you Kay, both of us. I get nightmares too, but I learn to live with them.’

She looked at Candice. ‘Let’s get out of here.’

They linked arms walking out of the large building. ‘This is a new beginning for the both of us.’

‘I know I’ll try.’

‘We can do this okay.’

She looked at Candice who smiled.

‘Okay.’

They hugged each other. ‘This is a new beginning okay.’

Yeah it is. Can we go home no I’m freezing.’

‘Sure.’ Candice said taking her arms from round Kaleen linking arms walking away.

Candice closed the door behind them. ‘I’m going to lie down.’

‘Sure.’

Kaleen slothed into her room dropping to the bed closing her eyes. Sandman looked down on her. ‘I hope you like this place babe it may not be the old one, but it is ours and we only have a five minute walk to the beach. He pressed his lips on hers kissing her.

He eyes shot open his shadow stood in the darkness of the room. ‘Whose there?’

‘You won’t get rid of me that easily Kay.’

‘Sandman.’

‘Got it in one babe.’

‘What do you want?’She said backing up the bed.’

‘You can’t get out Kay the doors locked.’

‘Bu..’

His sky blue eyes pronounced in hers. She sat nervously. ‘You really think a shrink was going to help you?’

‘I –I.’

‘Think again babe I’m here to stay.’

‘You’re behind bars.’

‘Not in your head I’m not.’ He got closer nerving her even more. ‘I won’t let you forget me.’

He pressed his lips on hers kissing her getting on top of her almostsuffocating her slipping inside her having sex with her.

The door flew open, a frantic Candice shook Kaleen. ‘Kay wake up. Wake the fuck up!’

Her eyes flickered. ‘What time is it?’ She asked groggily.

‘Half six.’

‘Candice?’ She asked confused to why she had woke her.

‘What the hell’s going on Kay? I’ve been shouting you for an hour the door was locked.’

‘Sandman.’

‘He’s inside Kay.’

‘He was here.’

‘I thought this was a new start?’

‘Hewon’t let me Candice!’ She cried.

Candice wrapped her arms round her. ‘Youcan’t let him get to you Kay he poisoned you, and me into thinking he was perfect and he wasn’t he was evil Kay banish him from you nightmares please I’m begging you he’ll send you insane if you don’t.’

‘I’ll try.’

‘Are you okay now?’

‘I guess.’

‘You hungry?’

‘Not really.’

‘Okay I’ll be in the lounge if you need me okay.’

‘Okay.’

Candice dropped her arms from around Kaleen. ‘Just remember you are better than him.’

‘I will.’

Candice smiled closing the door behind her.

‘Shewon’t get rid of me.’

Kaleen jumped staring into the hollowness of his eyes. ‘How did you…’

‘Neither will you.’

‘Just go Sandman.’

‘Never.’

‘Please.’

He pressed his lips on hers kissing her. He looked at her. ‘Never.’ His lips touched hers kissing her. Her eyes opened and he was gone.
