Chapter 8

~ Misery person POV~

Damn! I almost got snagged by Scarlet today. I thought I had pay Dylan a visit and give him a surprise but that didn't work seeing as he was with Eva, Britney and Eric the entire day, I didn't get the opportunity. So I pursued them from behind and the way they were all cackling infuriated me.

Just when I was about to dismiss myself, I heard him speak. I have been observing them around for months, analyzing what they do and at what time, what they love and hate, their family and everything else which will be useful. And so far, I have collected enough information on them to know their day-to-day routine. Seeing Scarlet watch her back now and then made me so happy. She was the one I frequently visited and seeing how smart she is, she is beginning to notice she's being followed.

“Who do we have here” a voice snaps me out of my thoughts and I turn around to see who they were talking to and I saw them, Scarlet and Selena. Seeing them all together really pissed me off. They still behaved like they did nothing wrong. They got the nerve to be walking around the school without shame. I knew I had to twitch them up before going. I stood behind the wall and peeked at them, waiting for someone amongst them to notice me meanwhile could still hear them doing their silly yapping.

“Maybe you saw a ghost. And you know whose ghost I am referring to, don't you?”

Hearing that made my ears itchy. I leaned in to hear more. I looked up only to meet Scarlet's eyes feasted on mine. She looked like she was still trying to figure out who the owner of the eyes she was looking at. Immediately, I withdrew my head and took off.

“Hey” I could hear her shouting after me from behind. Great!, now they have something to worry about now. I thought victoriously. Not sure if she figured me out or not.

I hang my jacket on the hanger at the door the moment I closed the door behind me and went straight to my room and locked myself in and plopped on the bed and placed my arms beneath my head with my eyes focused on the ceiling. A knock on my door made me turn to face the door.

“Hey, are you there?” I hear her voice.

“Yep, come in” I replied knowing exactly who it was.

“Hello! Your door is locked!.. Or are you doing the nasty??” I could imagine the teasing look on her face.

I got up and unlocked the door and gave her a “what the hell” look as I held the door open. She invited herself in and sat on my study chair. Not that I studied anyway. My dad insisted every student must have a study chair and table, so he got me one.

“You came in pretty late today, what's up?”.

She quizzed.

I shrugged “Nothing much, just a little something I couldn't take care of”

“ Still wanna know about the little “something”!” She quoted me.

“Okay, so I followed Dylan and his crew today after school and thought I had pulled a little something on them” I hesitated.

“What! You are aware if we get caught, it's all done right?” She screamed.

“I know, I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist it. Seeing all of them gathered at one place and looking like they did nothing wrong!” I looked at her with frustration in my eyes.

“I understand, but we have to be patient if we really want them to pay for what they did” she said calmly.

“You are right” I added.

“ So how are we doing she asked with mischief”.

“ Everything is going as planned”. I said with a malicious scowl.

“Good!they have only seen the beginning”

She replied. I would do anything to make her happy. Since the day she came into my life, I felt some kinda bond with her and I intend for it to continue this way.

“I didn't see the last guy amongst them though”. The one that goes by the name Ian”

I stated unsure.

“ Don't worry about that, we are just getting starting. We will pay each one of them a visit till they understand why what's happening”. She smiled devilishly.

“ Hey I'm gonna grab something to eat, want some?” She asks.

“I'm good, thanks “.

“Okay, suit yourself” she said and left, leaving me all alone with my thoughts.

Tomorrow is going to be a day to look forward to.
