Chapter 22. Road Trip to the City

“VIVIANA! LET’S GO!”

The blanket flew off my body like a tornado had ripped it away.

I groaned, eyes still closed, as I felt someone grab my ankles and tug me toward the edge of the bed. “Nooo,” I whined, kicking my legs weakly.

“Time to move it, princess. We’ve got a long drive ahead!” Sam’s voice echoed through the room.

I cracked one eye open to see his smirking face hovering over me. He looked way too chipper for this hour.

“Not fair,” I mumbled, groggily rolling onto my side and hugging Dean’s pillow.

Dean was still next to me, snoring lightly, one arm flopped across where I’d just been. Figures—he got to stay asleep while I was being yanked like laundry.

I huffed, swung my legs over the side of the bed, and stomped across the hallway to my own bedroom, eyes half-shut and hair sticking up in all directions.

From there, I grabbed my clothes and headed into my bathroom.

Grumble. Slam. The door shut behind me a little harder than I meant.
